Is there anyone else here who is stuck with the wrong type of babyface meaning round and there just isn't anything you can do about it no matter how much you work out or lose weight? Unfortunately I'm 30 years old and I'm in that boat. I'm 5'8" 175 lbs so that doesn't help either though I work out 3 times a week and I'm in good shape. Whenever I try to flirt with women in a sexual way at a bar or club, they just treat me like I'm some creep though I'm not a bad looking guy. Even younger women in their early 20's just tell me that I look young even with facial hair and I'm never told that I look attractive. I also have problems with people around my age talking down to me wherever I go with the "hey buddy", "hey boss" etc comments. Does anyone else have the same dilemma?

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

If someone's gonna talk to you with the "hey buddy", "hey boss" line, give it right back to 'em.

Them: Hey boss

You: Hey boss

Them: Hey buddy

You: Hey buddy

Hey Steve, I feel your pain.. I am 50 and I have the exact same dilemma.
I look about 20 years old and it gets me in trouble. At my age I want to be a pedophile in training. Instead women ask me in Safeway if I am lost and ,
" Where is your mother ". I cannot get a drink in a bar without the bar attendant looking me like I just got out of Juvenile Hall.
I cannot get into a club without some ID and the picture on my DL looks like I still need training wheels. I get my cheek pinched by little old ladies at the mall and Santa Claus wants me to have a picture taken with him every Christmas.
I am so over being "cute", dude...

I am mid 30's and look low mid 20's. It's been a mixed bag as far as situations go. With women, I had to get to know them first, and in the professional world I have had to work my butt off and be as knowledgeable and articulate as the best around my company.

The way I figure it, by mid forties I should hit a stride, but it doesn't really matter as I am married.

I have the same problem. I'm in my thirties and get ID'd all the time. I was in a supermarket the other day and got hit on by a 19 yearold checkout girl. Sounds great, but it's not actually, because sometimes it's hard for women in our "dateable" range to take us seriously.

What I found that helps, is bulk up. Hit the gym hard and put on solid muscle. Train with heavy weights. Don't work out to keep thin and fit, put on mass. If you put on noticable muscle, and move with confidence, women can't help but take you seriously. Check out the health forum for some great tips on serious weight training.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

you're not stuck with the wrong kind of face, you're stuck with the wrong kind of thinking.

No, I've developed the kind of thinking that I have because I'm tired of hearing "you look so young" or "you have that face" from women. Unfortunately most women seem to be the most sexually attracted to men with angular jawlines and that's something that you're either born with or you're not because I've never had an angular jaw structure even when I was underweight back in high school.

No, I've developed the kind of thinking that I have because I'm tired of hearing "you look so young" or "you have that face" from women while other guys hear "you're sexy" or have women throwing themselves at them. Unfortunately most women seem to be the most sexually attracted to men with angular jawlines and that's something that you're either born with or you're not because I've never had an angular jaw structure even when I was underweight back in high school.

Every once in awhile I offer to give tips to guys on how to improve their appearance. If you would like me to do that for you, I will. Just PM me a link to your photo. You can drastically change your facial appearance by doing some very simple things. If I see where you can do that, I will tell you...if you want, that is.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

jophil28, are you exaggerating, do people really think you're 20? I'd be interested in seeing a pic, since seeing a 50 yr old that looks 30yrs his own junior would be a rare sight :)
I am 41 and was carded just a few months ago. The bouncer had this look on his face like he couldn't believe I was old enough to almost be his daddy.

Ponce de Leon searched for the Fountain of Youth. You should not be sad that you seem to be drinking from it.

Yes.

Stop making excuses. If it's THAT bad, there's always plastic surgery. But I'm willing to bet it ISN'T that bad...you're just self-conscious and it radiates out from you in everything you do.

Put a picture for everyone to see. We tell you if there are issues or not. More likely it is an INSECURITY issue.
