Okay,, this is my first post....here goes...
Pretty much, I knew this girl last year, we were friendly, never got too close, and I didnt bother trying cuz shes what some may call "out of my league." Well it turns out that this year, someone told me that she thinks I'm "cute and nice." Beings that she had a boyfriend of 8 months, I didnt let it get to my head, and forgot about it within a few days. Well it turns out, one day she Instant messages me, and asks me if I ever noticed her staring at me in class. Sooooooo I tell her that I know about everything. So after that we became real close, I constantly was getting subtle hints from her that something may happen with us in the future. We became very flirty, and very touchy-feely when we spent time together. Whenever she was having problems with her boyfriend (which was quite often) she would talk to me. I wouldnt be a jerk about it and tell her to just dump him, even if thats what I wanted her to do. I would talk it out normally and offer her advice. Well, then about a month passed, and she and her boyfriend break up.
Now heres the problem. We are VERY close, but whenever I try to ask her to hang out (in a casual way, not asking her on a date or anything) she always has some excuse. And the other day, I asked her when she was free this weekend and she told me saturday night. So we agreed to do something on saturday. Then when saturday night rolls around and I ask her what she wants to do, she tells me that she is going to go to a party instead, even though we made these plans togather first.
Theres nothing more frustrating than getting these mixed signals, because I'm not sure what to do. She definitely once had an interest, considering she initiated everything (the telling her friend i'm cute/nice, IMing me, bringing up the topic of her staring at me in class, and the first time we spent time together.....it was her who asked)
So I'm really not sure whether she could have lost interest, or maybe shes playing that dreaded hard to get.
Anyone wanna offer me some help?
Thanks in adavance.
