Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.
She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.
Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.
So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.
The words come later. The impression comes first.

It’s been 30 years since I drank soda on any sort of regular basis. As a kid I had regular acne. Soda is so bad for you. I wouldn’t touch it except for a little here and there very sporadically.

The benefits may not be immediate but they will be noticeable over time.
Soda in general is bad for you as it contains phosphoric acid that leaches minerals from your bones and excretes them from the body.
Diet soda in particular has been found to be a metabolic disaster in a can waiting to happen via numerous mechanisms.
