Just curious. Have become more interested in the paranormal in the last 3 years or so. Anybody?

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

As far as I see it, the word "paranormal" is just a word that describes anything that is other than "normal" or "explainable." When I was in my early/mid twenties, I tended bar at a restaurant that used to function as an old granary (grain silo) for one of the local agricultural colleges back in the twenties. It had a very rich history. At any rate, the bar was in the basement and there were many nights in the winter where I would be the only one in the building. Oftentimes I would hear footsteps in the backroom, a bang in the kitchen, or other unexplainable noises. Other times I would get an overwhelming sensation that I was not alone. I would also experience cold spots.
This kind of got me interested in the unexplainable. I've never seen anything though, and I'm not sure if I want to open Pandora's Box or not by actively seeking an experience.
Karma, maybe I'll PM you or Dish about this since you both seem to be pretty interested in this sort of thing.

We had an investigation at the Clewiston Inn and it was extremely active. We have video of 5 of our SPIRITeam brothers and sisters in the midst of a seance when they whole fvcking table begins circling and bouncing. All the while none of our people ever moved thier hands. The remained perfectly flat the entire episode.Mctwist4 said:

I had an interesting experience when I was 9 at my Aunts house. A purple entity woke me up and smiled and then vanished from the foot to the head.
Noone will ever convince me it was not as real as I'm typing this right now.
For the record, here are my reasons why to wit I am skeptical of the paranormal:
1. For over a century, no one with a claimed paranormal power has simply demonstrated the power under controlled conditions wherein the possibility of cheating has been removed. Not one single person, out of billions and billions of inhabitants, for over a century of scientific challenges by the likes of Harry Houdini, James Randi, and others. Rather, claimants imagine a galaxy of excuses why they shouldn't or can't be tested. Rubbish.
2. The evidence for a paranormal claim are always either scant or non-existent. Parapsychologists searching for proof find "effects" but only after tortured statistical analyses, which strongly suggests nothing is there; replete with frauds and flaws, the field has made no progress. Things such as UFOs and ghosts have natural explanations other than UFOs and ghosts. After all, you never hear about ghosts who grow tired of haunting the dilapidated hotel and move to the brand new gas station down the street. Before you can reach for the extraordinary, you must first rule out the ordinary; extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
3. Forget the mantra about "We don't know what we don't know," paranormal claims often violate what we do know regarding the laws of nature.
4. EVeryone and their pet chihuahua says "Just you wait" and holds advances in quantum physics or string theory will vindicate their paranormal belief. But guess what most serious scientists answer: rubbish.
Karma, I would be interested in tagging along on one of your investigations on some weekend. That is one of the obligations of being a skeptic.

Demons are here on earth. So are angels. Do I necessarily want to come in contact with a demon, just to prove that they are real? No way, I leave it alone. Ouija boards, seances, etc....not for me. I do not want to open that door. However, I think everything here on earth conforms to the laws of physics. The only miracles that defied that were the ones performed by Jesus in the New Testament.

Perception is reality. I'm not going to beat that dead horse. If you've seen something with your own eyes, then that is as real to you as the glass of water sitting on the table. I simply find the paranormal INTERESTING. Period.
As my interest has grown, I've become both a skeptic and believer at the same time. Don't ask me how that is possible, because I'm not sure. I really want to hook up with some paranormal research groups in my state and tag along. I want to scrutinize their methodologies. Besides, who wouldn't love to spend a night in their local haunted mansion? I think it would be tits man!
