Well true, but I was stating that without those things happening in the body we wouldn't be lifting. I agree, learning how to lift can be simple.
What I am stating (stay with me here) is how to BETTER everything we do on a higher level. A more scientific level.
Whether its figuring out lactate threshold for a cyclists, whether its through supplementation, or maybe its knowing exactly when ATP is regenerated in the body. Maybe its the best temperature to keep the body at for the best performance. A quicker way to get electrolytes in the body for certain people besides IV. Quicker recovery, longer race times, more power, etc etc.
So my thing is that if you really are interested in this, and want to know all of this, study all of this, its not your Personal trainers that are doing this stuff. They are not the ones Gatorade Sports Science Institute hires, or the Olympic training center.
I'm not just looking at it in the terms of weightlifters and just the gym. I'm saying you can PT all you want, but you wont get to the next step up.
Take supplements for example. I'm testing a stack I created, to see how it helps with recovery, strength, and a few other things. I wont list what it is I created and what's in it, but so far I am happy with the way it is working. Already with the first week and a half, my recovery is much quicker, i'm not as sore, my strength has gone up, and that's just the beginning.
