Hey all,

Just wondering if girls ever tell you that they think you're out of their league... I really don't get it when girls that I've gone out with tell me that I'm out of their league...its like how can I be out of you league if I'm with you right now??? When casually dating and looking for FBs my standards aren't super high normally :p ... but as long as a girls' a 6 or better and is fun to be with/nice and not as dumb as a sack of doorknobs, I'll hang out/fool around with her. I'm A LOT more picky when it comes to serious relationships however.

I guess it bothers me because I see myself as a nice, approachable, friendly, outgoing, social kinda guy...

Just wondering if any other guys get this.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

I've gotten the "You're too good for me" line.

It mean that the girl had low IL. Or at least that's how I took it. This girl had LSE and was on anti-depressants so not sure. ;)

if your a decent guy sometimes when a woman says shes not good enough it means exactly that.

trust me, there are plenty of women out there who if you could see into their past you wouldnt want anything to do with them.

these women know who they are. no matter how much they pretty up the external package, their insides went rotten a long time ago.

and instinctually they know that they are meant to end up with a guy of similar distinction.

hey, there are hot chics who aren't f*cked up and who will suck your d*ck 10 times a day for being a nice guy.

but remember, nice guy is different than AFC, the two are often confused.

that's a really cool point about not confusing nice guys w/ AFCs. I'm a totally nice guy and have no issues w/ being a nice guy. I think the essence of being an AFC revolves around being complacent w/ mediocrity, and not having the drive or will to try and maximize one's own potential, and chase your dreams.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

yep. a lot of guys think that caving to a woman every time she has an emotional temper tantrum is being a nice guy. its not, its being an AFC. it says 'i have so little respect for myself that im going to let you emotionally manipulate me any time you want.'

being a nice guy is a good thing. being a doormat isnt.

Agreed 100% joekerr. I like to use the term good guy as nice guy still means AFC in my dictionary, but it's all just terminology.

In my experience it's code for "I don't know how to say this, but please piss off". But as always what she does takes precidence over what she says. Women have random crap flying out of their mouth all the time.
