Annual physical with a female doctor: What to expect?

i haven't had an annual physical in a long time (due to a lack of health insurance in the past and a lack of excitement at the idea). Well, i've got insurance and I have an annual tomorrow. My doctor is a woman, not bad looking either. What can i expect? Are rectal/prostrate checks a given?

Maybe a nurse present in the same room? Dunno, never tried getting a female Doc. I don't need that kind of temptation and/or frustration.

I have a physical coming up with a female doctor as well. I'm gonna ask her about checking for std's (that was the real point of the physical), hopefully its not awkward...shes actually a physcians assistant...giggidy.

ohh, god, Oakraiderz, you have my sympthy... the swab test, ahhhh, its horrible, good lucky man.
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Its kinda fun actually.

I remember when I was in high school and we had to get physicals in order to play sports. I had a dude Dr. and he goes, "Ok, I'm gonna go ahead and perform a hernia check now." I was like, "No you're not. You're gonna go find a female doctor or nurse to do it, thanks." lol! He was kinda annoyed but he went and found me a female doctor. She came in saying something about usually being asked by her male patients to find a male doctor to perform the hernia check, not the other way around. I can't remember exactly what I told her but it was something to the effect of "well I'm not ok with getting my balls felt up by a dude." lol! Good times.

promoting std testing ...

You probably will get a prostate exam. You can always tell your doctor to skip it. He can't make you do it. But you probably should for the peace of mind. I had it done once and I can say it's probably one of the 3 worst feelings I've experienced.
