am i wasting my time on campus approaches?

i will be 32 this friday. getting a little older and it is what it is. theres tons of beautiful 20 year old girls at my university. i approached there for a while but was unsuccessful. i dont know if the rejection was because i was a little older than them or just because of me. there are a few grad students who are older but all those i met were married.
anyway should i forget about campus approaches and go elsewhere looking for older women? i know that we dont give a sh!t about age here but realistically they are too young for me. some are mature and decent and i will approach those types, but to them it may be too much of a gap.

Try approaching elsewhere. If you results are the same, you'll know that the age difference isn't your problem. If you're successful, build up a base from those girls, use what you learn, and go back to campus and get it done!

Put yourself in a 20 year old college girls head. She either wants to party, do drugs, get wasted and hook up with HOT guys... or she is looking to lose her virginity in a serious LTR. At least that's what I experienced in college.

In college most of my action came from parties with lots of drugs/booze and drunk/high girls being drunk/high.

In college most hooking up is from social circles and parties. Cold approaches on campus might make you seem like you have no social circle (or you come off that way) and possibility creep some girls out. Its a shallow and clannish age.

^ What he said. Try going to the gyms on and off-campus to expand your options as there are probably a good number of chicks around your age too. I remember lifting at 6 a.m. on-campus and the crowd varied more than the daytime crowds and was obviously less crowded. It was a more disciplined group so to speak. The bars in your college town are definitely a great option. They are willing to chat you up regardless of your age and experience, believe it dude. Maybe check the museums and performance venues nearby.
