"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

i've noticed that when i'm talking to chicks, and i say something attempting to be C+F, they sometimes just stare at me...of coursei never back down from the stare, and hold EC until they look away, but is am i doing something wrong?

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Yeah the usually stare when they feel insulted. Give me an example of how you apply C+F so I can see if it comes of mean or could be a little more playful. Remember it has to be playful and half joking for C+F to work.

You can correct her in many ways. Do you correct her in a ****y way or does it come off jokingly. You should give more detail.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Well then you just might be insulting her without being funny. This probably doesn't help, especially if the girl is already somewhat insecure. And most girls are you know..

If you try to be c&f but the joking part is not very obvious, girls are gonna think you are seriously stuck-up or downright arrogant. Some girls may be attracted to this but most aren't.

i can't really remember off hand
usually words to the affect of "nope, that's not it, u've gotta do X, it's easy"

but yeah, i guess even after the stare, once things resume, they're still friendly so i guess i'm not screwing things over that badly

we'll see how things go

Making fun of a woman for not understanding something academic isn't being charming or funny---it's purely being a jerk and won't get you anywhere. think about it. (in fact I'm surprised she didn't just walk out on you)

Create *sexual tension. You can bring up any topic you like off the cuff...talk about light stuff--exaggerate and play up differences between men and women, call her a "princess" or a "drama queen", etc.
Be playful and fun. Don't ever make her feel bad about herself.

I don't care how much people preach that. It's f---ing lame.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

That doesn't sound ****y funny at all. Sounds like you're just being condescending and arrogant. She's probably staring at you wondering what your problem is and then getting a hold of her irritation.
****y and funny.. note the FUNNY part. Being c+f means taking an arrogant or mean remark and phrasing it in a humorous and non serious way... like "You can buy me a drink.. if you promise not to spike it. I don't want to wake up naked and sore in an alley tomorrow morning"

evol--don't worry about it so much. Just follow some of the general guidelines you see here. You know what topics to stay away from -- politics, death, and religion for example, are topics that are generally a real drag.
When I first get to know a woman, I always keep it light (see above) and positive, but maybe a little unpredictable while asking her the standard questions to get to know her.
Really studying is a perfect atmosphere for sparking attraction, especially if you enjoy (and are good at) the subject. You can show her how enthusiastic about the stuff you are--and believe me, that has a **huge effect on her perception of you. Just be honest and totally non-arrogant about it. I happen to be good at math---which (believe it or not) is very attractive to women if you present yourself in the right way.
Now that you have an idea of where you should come from, you should be fine.

btw--if you haven't seen the movie "The Tao of Steve" rent it. if nothing else, it's a cool movie.

For the love of god, do not use C&F unless you know HOW TO. If you say a C&F line and it is not funny, you will go off as a jackass and it will blow your chances with the chick. If you arent NATURALLY ****y and funny, dont use it at all.

I disagree. You can absolutely LEARN to be c+f. I did it. You don't have to be naturally anything, that's the beauty of being a human. We can use our brains to learn, grow, develop and train ourselves to be good at anything we're not naturally good at.

Only the weak are restricted to their using only natural abilities and strengths instead of pursuing their desires.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
