Alpha means to originate.

Yet if we are the effect of sexual desire, or the effect of other peoples ideas about what constitutes proving ourselves as men, then are we alpha, or beta?

To be at cause over desire, and at cause over approval, is the mark of the true male, which paradoxically does lead to an increased level of success.

Then it is seen that one always was the alpha male, either successfully leading the way, or failing and imposing that failure upon the world around us.

Guys, being alpha is just about being strong and confident, being a leader, and being able to take charge when you need to. It has nothing to do with... whatever this nonsense Raphael just posted is (nothing personal, Raphael).
