Egg nog, anybody?Originally posted by Don Ronny
Allen must be drinking a helluva lot these days.
Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

For the record I agree with you on some points. I think it's sad that Allen doesnt address the big concerns here. He is asleep at the wheel and the site is suffering for it. It seems that the mods are being hired without much thought, just to handle the massive loads of posting that this site attracts. But doesnt it occur to you that modding is no easy task? I dont think any of these guys get paid (or laid) to do this.....umm except maybe Gio, who is banging a forum member (way to go, dude!)
The more people that sign on here, the more chaotic it gets. The last thing these guys want is a huge flame war to manage.....or is it?
Maybe modding is the most boringest job ever and they actually ENJOY these little flames. Perhaps they even PROVOKE them out of boredom. But you know what, honey? They have the legal right to be a prick to who ever they want. Isnt this the American way? Freedom to sh!t on who ever you want!
Your efforts will amount to a lot of wasted time on your part. Devote your energies elsewhere kiddo, this forum is really not worth getting so excited over.
and...
If ya dont like it, you can always leave!
Uhm please tell me where these rules are located because I'm rather interested. You take me far to seriously also.Originally posted by Don Ronny
Mods are not supposed to tell posters to "go f*ck themselves"

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

It's nice... it just kinda rolls off the tongue.
And it's accurate, too!
No, don't. More work = More pissed off mods.Originally posted by Helter Skelter
Gio,
Your arguing with wyldfire is not as exciting a cutiiepiereturns.
Whats the chance of bringing her back?
"Shut the hell up"
Am I the only one that liked her?
I'm starting a bring back cutiiepie movement![]()

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
No, I got it right. You're is way off, though. I don't "blather", I "preach". I'm not at all ignorant...I'm quite intelligent, actually. I AM twisted. I'm not cheap or a hooker. In fact, if anything I'm probably too picky.Originally posted by Don Ronny

Also I am sorry but you got the acronym wrong.
B!tch = Blathering Ignorant Twisted Cheap Hooker
Glad to see you are letting your colors show!
This site has changed, but it certainly has not "grown".Originally posted by MetalFortress
Wyldfire, has it ever occured to you that you have a huge pride problem? Stop being so prideful. You are not the savior of SS, and you aren't the most important member here or whatever either. You can't just leave for years and then expect everyone to cater to you when you come back. Sites grow and change. Deal with it.

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.
She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.
Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.
Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.
good job numb skull, you missed the point.Originally posted by MetalFortress
It's a lot bigger than it used to be, so yeah, obviously it has.
Bigger is not always better. Quality above quantity is my motto. There USED to be substance and fresh, good material posted regularly here. Not so anymore. Most of the best contributors are gone and it's mostly a bunch of kids with overblown egos giving sh*t advice and insulting people who ask questions while offering virtually nothing in the way of advice.Originally posted by MetalFortress

I'm the one that made the point in the first place, you ho. I said grow as in gotten bigger, and change as in it's not the same anymore.Originally posted by Porky

So Wyldfire, why not help do something about it BY POSTING ADVICE instead of asking for your posts to be deleted out of the DJB, and starting three threads about the same topic on BH+S?
You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.
And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.
Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.
The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
