"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I tend to have more trouble with AIM convos than talking with girls regular. I think I seem to bore the girl I like because it is tough to flirt with typing and stuff like that. How do ppl manage to entertain and keep the AIM convos interesting?? Any ideas?

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I'd say avoid texting, IMing, and all that. It is easy for the person to misinterpret what youre saying.

It's difficult to avoid AIM and texting in high school. Everyone does it.

If you do though, keep it short and always funny/positive. Girls love funny and uplifting stuff. It's a natural aphrodisiac (sp?).

Don't spend hours on end talking to girls online.. you're now becoming her friend.

Any way to be C + F on AIM. I try to be, but she repeats I am mean and stuff. I know she is kidding because she says that playfully to me when we hang out. I've talked to her the last 2 days, so I should probably keep it casual the next few days..How can you be funny when you are typing things instead of saying them?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Agreed 100%. Talk in person; it's wayyy more effective at building sexual tension. If a girl gets used to talking to you online, you become her "diary" to ramble about her boy problems, and I'm sure you don't want that.

All this electronic crap makes real life awkward. It deceives you into thinking you have a close friendship with somebody, when in real life you have no idea what to say and are completely awkward face to face. And no, it's not that hard to avoid in high school...ever hear of something called "hanging out"? Or the "telephone"?

Yah, the thing is, I am always asking her to hangout, she has not once asked me to hangout, altohugh shes brought things up without asking me initially. When we hung out for the first time, a couple weeks ago she was talkin with her friend about me and I heard "Yah but I don't think so..."probably if I would be dating her, with doesn't look too promising--life is not fair, lol. I think she is kinda getting annoyed a little bit because I used to be pretty nice to her, now I am busting on her a lot and making her laugh. She is just going to have to get used to it...
