It's one of the reasons why I find it a bit ridiculous that people will refer to ChatGPT's prompt responses as another person in a conversation. Even the idea of it being used for therapy sessions seems stupid. It's one of the reasons why I don't trust it.

I'm quite convinced that the day we are able to create AGI won't involve putting them on chips made of silicon.

I was on the tractor all afternoon today, wishing it was AI instead of me. Working an open field is being done now by AI driven tractors. I was doing a lot of pushing fallen trees and brush with the bucket, and that is much more complex to accomplish without flipping over or damaging the tractor. AI isn't there yet, but maybe in 5-8 years when the new chips start coming it will be different.

Many companies are going to find this out soon if they haven't already.

Unfortunately, the damage is done with the people that they laid off. If someone can't find a job fast enough, they might end up living with their parents or homeless. Most people do not have the savings to withstand extended unemployment.

Don't get me wrong, I use AI for some ASSISTANCE on my work. To help spark ideas or organize information.

But it's really clunky and as mentioned already can be dangerous. Its creators want engagement over safety.

And the fact that incels are promoting it around here as a sexual alternative just shows that some things will never change.
