"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Hi i just registered because this girl has my head spinning.

So there is this girl i work with. She is with this guy who was kind of my friend that used to work there(we where work friends). Ok dude got fired almost a year ago now and still has no job. They live together. Lately she complains about him a lot to me. How she pays for everything, we start talking a lot. I try to make good eye contact, smile a lot, and do all that. I think im doing good but its going slowly. I have taken her out to lunch 2 times now on break from work and i want to take her out for real. The last time at lunch i basically told her how i felt. I got not much of a response. I also told her i want to take her out for real and she said "we'll work on that" whats that suposed to mean. ack.

Any advice, tips to handling this. I get the feelings she is quite reserved and im going to have to make all the moves. Normally i dont have much trouble talking with ladies and stuff, but her having a man is throwing me off here. I get the feeling she might be weighing her options. Whats my next move, how long do i wait? Do i try and not seem to interested. I am talking to her now on AIM.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Don't go there. It will just lead to trouble. Find a girl who is available. No more work lunch dates alone.

I don't have much experience with a situation like this, but I would call myself one of the best observasionalists.

Here's what I think about attached girls:

1) Women are plentiful, and it's a cruel enough world out there for the AFCs, that we should all take a solemn vow NEVER to help a girl cheat on a guy. As men, we should be protecting other men. Unless they are complete *******s.
Bros before hoes.

2) A girl that is dating someone is bad news. Why? Because it means that she is looking to you to fill some void that the other boyfriend left.
From the looks of it, you're telling me that she still hasn't broken up with her BF, yet she still comes to you to complain about her emotional baggage. What does that tell me?
She's getting all her needs taken care of by the both of you. She's still having sex with her BF, and at the same time, she can come to you to talk about all her emotional problems. You are both being played...That is unless YOU really do just think of her as a friend, which I can tell just from the fact that you are posting here, yo do not.

Bad idea man. If I were you I would start dating other chicks ASAP.

Sigh, not what i wanted to hear but yeah. I figure ill make one go for her and if it doesnt work out ill move on. I honestly could give to ****s up about the other guy, he only really hung out with me besides at work when he wanted to get high. Normally i dont really get worked up about girls but i guess im stuck on her for whatever reason. Ill quit being a *****.

There is a work party on sunday ill try somthing them. Damn i really am an *******. She just said to me if anything it would be her that would have to stop anything that would be cheating? I think she is ****ing with me.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
