"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Yeah, well, there were these Jazz Band Auditions last night, but even though the list hasn't even been posted yet, I know that the band director isn't going to put me in. At my private auditon, he said I needed to work on speed and at the band audition, where the band plays together, I could hardly play half of the songs because I had not really practiced them alot, I did do pretty well on the sight reading though, but no, there's little hope of me making. I even knew before the band practice at 6:30, that I wasn't going to make it, I just had a good, set feeling. Besides, why choose me, when you have a bunch of other saxes playing? Sure, if he didn't accept me to the list, he could always find a better Tenor Sax player than me. At the band practice he even said "If I feel it's neccessary, I may remove a Tenor", that was an obvious clue that I wasn't going to make it. Even at the practice I asked myself, "Why am I here? Sure, I can play some of the music, but, I know the band director wasn't impressed with my private auditions and him, seeing that I can't play a good 2/3 of the music, doesn't really help. Why am I here? Why am I even trying to get into this? I know he's not going to put me on the list, I mean come on, there's no hope, he thinks I'm too inexperienced.". Seeing as Jazz Band is very prestigious and not every one who tries out, makes it, I have a vibe, that my chances of making it, are NON-EXISTANT. Now, I keep telling myself to "Improve man, maybe you'll make it next year" and stuff like that, but still, I just can't let it go, it's like it just keeps coming back. It's just very hard to accept, that you failed, even harder, when you know that you have no chance in hell of making and when you know you didn't make it and the list isn't even up, you know you suck. I don't even care if the list being posted isn't the final list, I know I didn't even make THAT list. I don't want to give myself false confidence and tell myself that there is a chance that I'm getting on the list, then, find out that I'm not on the list, so I'm just accepting that, even though I did decent at the audition, somehow, I just KNOW it wasn't good enough.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

What is your f**king problem?! All you do is come on the boards and b**ch about your problems and low self-esteem. We give you suggestions and you never try them. You've been here for what seems like eternity and are still dealing with confidence issues. If you think that you're gonna fail, then you will. Always assume that you are going to make it, whatever it is, and move on if you don't.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but DJ'ing isn't all about seduction and getting women.

B**ch? I don't see anyone b**ching here but you man and low confidence? No, theres just not a good chance I'll make it, when there are so many better sax players, most of them who have been in Jazz Band before. If I see my name on the list when he posts it Monday, which isn't going to happen, that would be the biggest freaking surprise ever, but like I said, that's not happening. Even if you go in with the attitude that you WILL make it, the odds are pretty much against me in this situation, so there's no reason to build up my hopes, for something that's not happening.

What is said above is true. If you think you are going to fail, you will. I play varsity soccer here in ecuador. I am not that good at soccer, and I was cut from the team. But I beleived in myself, and I asked if I could attend one practice and show that I deserved a chance to be on the team. I went out, tried my hardest, and won myself a spot on the team. I am still not a starter, but I get a good amount of playing time. If you can, you should talk to the band director and see if there is any way for you to earn a spot in the band, and prove yourself worthy. Notice that I did not say suck up to him, but show him your intense desire to be on the jazz band, if you really want to be on it.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.
