Acceptable form of kino?

I've decided that 2morrow I want to iniate kino. I've barely done any and I just got to grab something. What I want to do is when I am talking to her walking down the hallway, to grab her hand and put on a big smile and try to hold hands with her. I realize I could be setting myself up for failure but it could be a really good thing if she likes it. But if she pulls away, well then I wouldn't take it all that well. Would it come of kinda odd ?

that's not a good idea

a good one way initiate hand holding is jus to poke at her hand or something like that, just be playful about it, then eventually grab it.

My brother, who gets a lot of chicks, thinks I should find out if she likes me or not. He says he always finds if she likes him or not before he trys anything with girls. He means by having a friend go up to her and asking her which I think is stupid. You got to take chances in my opinion.
