abs work that doesnt involve back?

pretty simple question can anyone explain some ab work that doesnt put strain on your back? im getting to the lower bodyfat stage again where my abs will start to become visible so im starting ab work but every ab exercise i know puts strain on my back. not only is it uncomfortable but i cant see that it will be good for it in the long run either. also are abs trained in the low rep ranges or are they like calves and forearms where you need to have higher rep ranges to force them to grow?

if u go to a gym, they have those dip bars where u can also hold your body up and place your back on the pad and lift your legs to work your abs.

There also a ab workout then puts no strain on your lower back if lower back is your problem and not the whole back in general. just do regular crunches but only lift your upper back slightly off the ground. It looks like nothing but you will feel the burn. i do alot of those since i have a bad lower back.

Exercise ball. Do crunches with your lower back braced on the ball.

Also, you can take your back out of the equation if you lay flat on the floor and mentally focus on your abs while doing leg raises and bicycles.

also, what are some good ab exercises to really strengthen lower abs/abs in general? My hips kind of feel like they're rotated a little behind cause of the deadlifting and squating and stuff.
