I'm surprised I never thought of this before...

...but if someone says they can "bench 200", does that include the weight of the bar or just the plates?

Cause I've always said I can benchpress about 200 pounds, but that's because I only count the plates (2 45's and a 10 on each side). What is the official take on this?

Maybe I'm actually benching 245 since the olympic bar weighs 45 pounds.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

lucky stiff.

I wish I could just wake up one morning and discover I bench 45 more lbs than i actually do. :D

I have to do it the hard way. its taken me about 5 months, but I can bench 185 from 85.

Well u should definetly count the bar too, I mean it'd be bull**** to say I bench 200 when the actual weight u can bench is 245, but a couple of guys I know (including a real gymhead lol) dont count the bar when they mention how much they can bench. But imo counting the weight of the bar is just logical.

Lots of pro's dont count the bar when talking casually, but when it comes down to stats, all of a sudden theres an extra 50 odd lbs that have made their way in somewhere ;)

pft... lucky bloke finding out he can lift an extra 20-odd bags of sugar :p
