Not to change the topic but this year I went on a few dates this summer where women flat out said they are looking for a man to pay bills and provide. Mind you in my 20s&30s that was rare but in the last two years. I've had women as young as 26 mention this all the way up to 46

Heterosexual women crave a man who can bring more resources into their lives, just as straight men want our women to look beautiful and be up for just about anything sexually??!!

This is a shocking revelation, exceeded only by the news that Western nations militarily toppling authoritarian regimes overseas RARELY, if ever, results in the natives adopting liberal democracy

They are in their 50s, and her career is going well - but his business is getting bought out, and he will be getting a pink slip. He has a side hustle hobby that he has been doing, a lot of times for free for various non-profits that he has agency with, and now he is trying to tap all that goodwill from those free jobs to boost up into getting paid gigs. However, his wife wants to see him "pound the pavement" and "get a real job", but I have a hunch that the only "real job" he could get is something like working as an auto-parts clerk, which pays sheet.

I think this a problem that a lot of older married men face - that if the wife is working, she'll be damned if she is going to be the one bringing home the bacon!

I totally agree. I'm 65 and working in a job that is trying to be the death of me. I want to retire at 66 & 10 months but I don't think I can last much longer there. When I discuss this with my wife who is a top level director at a major hospital, her response is "what are going to do then?" There's no sympathy for my predicament even though she can see my physical and mental health suffering. Sometimes I feel like the last 20 years was a waste of good years.

Sex has never been any more or less "free" than anything else in life... This was true long before the word "feminism" was coined, and have ceased to be the case

Feminism's "achievements" were similar to those The 9/11 hijackers... Both are case studies in botched stabs at securing ill-defined "liberation", which ultimately backfired in every way imaginable, and arguably harmed those they were intended to get justice for more than anyone

Women who are at the peak of their desirability and fertility still desire husbands and 2.5 kids of their own, yet our cultural fixation on seeing Ted Bundy 2.0s around every corner has created an atmosphere were a large percentage of the male population(Many of whom would make first-rate husbands and fathers)are retreating into fantasy worlds of video games and social media. Given that men aren't biologically hardwired to desire kids, and don't possess biological clocks which are especially finite, women are actually the real losers in the world we currently inhabit

Feminism is still advancing because it is positive for the top males in hierarchy (let's call them uber-alphas, I doubt any of them would waste time for sosuave) which are the richest, often white, males and their families, as they are free to do as they wish (Donald Trump being a perfect example - preaching conservative values but having several sexual mates and offspring with few of them, going against any legal or social issues connected with his way of life like a tank).

For such guys it is ok that society turned to hypergamy as they have unlimited resources to share with their close ones and offspring and religious system in USA (or any Western World country) does not support idea of having multiple wives. The idea that supports the strongest always prevails - strongest are the ones accustomed to take a lot and give sparsely - the more hypergamy prevails amongst women, the more single mothers are not frown upon and children out of wedlock are accepted, then the more power to them. Hundred years ago single mother would have very difficult life, now she can freely decide to turn ONS into baby-making project, counting for some chance of alpha taking care of the baby ("oops, sorry honey, do not know how THIS happened"). If not, then just carry on with raising alpha's child alone (salary is often enough for that), perhaps taking some beta-male for casual sex and favours/stability from time to time.

It also cuts wings for every average guy that is now not protected by social norms - it is normal that more resourceful man may freely make advances to his woman and the woman may freely decide whether to accept the advances or not. Lack of social norms protecting average working guy in this respect made the "finish/safety line" of SMV dangerously unachievable for most of men.

Therefore, even if feminism is a movement run mostly by females, it has an acceptance of top SMV men that may actually bind the reality to their purposes, not just dream about it.
