"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

There is this girl i know, shes about a HB6.5. Am not reallly attracted to her and as far as i know we are just friends but yesterday she call me and told me she got me a Valentine gift, i should have come and pick it up rightthere so i dont have to get her anything but too late for that. I told her that i would come friday, now that i have time till then. I know she'll expect something from me too.

My problem is that i dont know what she wants from me, is this gift it just as a friend to a friend thing or she wants something more and buying a gift for her now would be wierd cause i told her i dint get her anything and now after i know shes getting me something then i decided to get her something? the meaning isnt there anymore because it just about returning the favour....

What are you guys suggestions?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

A universe...where heartbreak and sadness have bee
You're on the "other side" of the equation now. Now you know what it's like when unattractive guys buy girls stuff to try to win their favor. You feel OBLIGATED to do something for her and that makes you uncomfortable, because you don't really WANT to buy her a gift.

You should just tell her it's sweet of her, but you only like her as a friend and don't think it'd be appropriate for you to accept it, even though you're flattered by it.

I dunno exactly WHAT to say, but you want to get the point across that:

-The gift is appreciated
-You are not interested

End of story. If you buy her something back, she will assume that there is SOME interest on your part. Dont' do that to her. It might seem cruel in the short run, but it's better for her in the long run. :)

It's about time women start to feel what this is like. :) I think women should be legaly obligated to offer a sympathy **** to any doorma... I mean, guy that buys them something.

But, attractive is relative, so....

re: learn from this

No, take it! This is the best time to learn what you did / behaviro made her want to chase after you and buy you a gift so that you can apply it to someone you like.

The way I see it, false hopes, not spending too much time with her, acting disinterested, these are all DJ techniques. Learn!

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

YOU ARE UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO GET HER ANYTHING!

You two aren't dating, so this gift is "just a friend thing". If you want to make sure she understands this, then tell her: "Wow! This is like the fourth present I got from a girl this week."

Then shake her hand & walk away. Trust me, she'll never buy you anything again.
