This question isn't regarding me but a friend of mine.
My friend is in his late 20's and he has a g/f in her early 20's for about 2 years now. Everything was going great until she recently decided to pursue a modeling job (she was a college student up until now). He isn't thrilled about it and they are getting into arguments over it.
At first I thought he was acting a bit “insecure” but he explained the situation farther into more detail. When she first started, he was supposed to pick her after a shoot for dinner. She gave him an address to some private home for the shoot and when he arrived nobody was answering the door. So he waited outside pissed and couldn't reach her on her cell. About 30 minutes later she calls him up saying that they moved the location into a downtown alleyway and if he could meet her there. So he drives down there and there in a dark alley he sees her dressed like a ho' (think Christina Aguilera lady marmalade) standing in front of a sports car and hugging the bare chest of a male model while the photographer was taken pictures. He had to wait there some more time looking at his girl hugging this guy, until the shoot was over and by that time it was already late going out for dinner.
So anyway he takes her back to his place and he was pissed at the hassle and to the reasons as to why is she now getting into this whole world and dressing like a ho for cheap thrill (he never asked her directly to stop).
Those statements caused her to be very upset and she cried but she is still going to do the modeling despite the strain this has caused.
Now what do you think of all this? There does seem to be an association with a profession a woman chooses to have and the kind of woman she becomes. Let’s face it, if you are in LTR with a woman, the last thing you want her is to become either a stripper or a barmaid and modeling is not that far behind either of those professions.
