"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I feel completely lost right now guys.

Here me out:

Lately, sarging at school...blows. *Note that I am not being TOO picky here* The girls I've dated were either JUST FRIENDS, whether I "befriended" her, or vice versa, hot but taken, not hot but available, or either.

My conversation skills are acceptional; when I talk to my friends, I can have fun. When I talk to girls, I can use the ****y/funny without going out of control, make 'em laugh, etc. However, in big groups, I lack the charisma to make things fun/interesting, usually because I either don't follow with the crap they talk about or because I'm not that close with the group.

The last two days in my 6th period class, the girls I know usually talk about...well...girl talk. I'm the only guy in a class full of 5-8 girls. I try to join in at times, but they act cold and ignore me as they talk about fashion, clothes, guys, models, whatever, so I just do my own sh*t while listening to their endless talking. I have tried squeezing into the convo's and ask open-ended questions regarding their current topic, but they shoot it down with one/two word answers and continue with their sh*t. It pisses me off so I just leave.

I also feel as though my sarging level has dramatically decreased; at times when I talk to certain girls, I just...blank out. I dunno what to say. I start with the small crap, then open it up to bigger and funnier/serious stuff, but these days my tongue gets twisted and I leave the convo at a dead end.

It seems that my confidence, social skills, and self-image has been going down lately. I haven't had field practice for a solid 3 months, and I feel the side-effects of it.

DJ's! What could I do to solve my current problems that I stated above?! I feel like crap and it would mean a lot if you guys gave me some feedback to uplift my spirit.

P.S. Finals are coming up so I refuse to go out and have fun until it's done.

Your problem is that you think too much. Quit over-analyzing everything and just chill out. Trust me, it works.

Well, you could just ignore them, and focus on school for now. I know that's extremely boring, but I do it every day, in hopes of raising my grades.
But like he said, you might be overanalyzing.

"Confidence is not knowing that you can do anything, it's knowing that if you can't, it doesn't matter."

-Ripped off of Jester.

Who cares what people think of you, it shouldn't determine whether or not you're happy or confident about yourself. What other people think of you is, for the most part, meaningless. If girls just want to be silly girls...superficial, media-influenced, egotistical, well...let them be that way.

Your just having a ruff spot mate. A dry time and its having an effect on your self esteem confidence and on your game. You are only focusing on the negatives.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
