You can skip the expensive cars, the fancy clothes, and the endless gym selfies. Completely unnecessary.

I used to freeze the second a beautiful woman looked my way. Frustrated. Awkward. Watching other guys walk away with the girl while I stood there tongue-tied.

A beautiful speech about humanity

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Great video... was definitely before my time, yet the same principles and issues are still very relevant today.

Dude that guy is so full of ****.

Love won't save us.

The cold calculus of someone like Dr. House will ease more human suffering than some feel-good bull****. No amount of giving or caring will overcome the realities of Nature. Love won't feed the world: money & trade will.

It's not a lack of 'brother love' that's made the world a ****ty place, it's a lack of people understanding the reality that Darwin, Hobbes, Rand, Hayek, and others like them who have been made villians were on the right side of history while the poets and the so-called intellectuals were on the wrong side of history.

I disagree he is full of ****. I don't see the cold-calculus of House and Chaplain's speech are mutally excusive. He seem to speak more than some kind of "hippie love" too, did he even mention love? Love don't feed hunger, but he is not talking about world hunger, he is talking about society and how we can be so cold to each other. People who are afraid to live, care for others, and live like "robots" instead of thinking for themselves. Isn't that alot of what posters on this site complain about people?

Granted his "greed" part could be taken as such, then again, corporations have made decisions for greater profits at the expense of people. Greed have hurt others. This is not to say money and trade is not key to solving problems, but to put effort to brighten other people's day could make life better for all. As for the soldiers part, he is refering to how soldiers mindlessly fight for bad causes.

Perhaps not everything is correct, but I would not say he full of it.

I'm curious as to whom exactly are you referring to when you mention "poets and the so-intellectuals"?

Honestly, I felt the whole video was a battle cry against legal plunder and really was less about love.

It actually was a pretty truthful speech about how to make the world a better place.

I went in thinking it was just going to be some sappy bullsh!t but it was alright.

You have to put it in the context of the times - he took on the Hitlerian image but gave the opposite message of hate - hate makes men kill!!

This message applies today as we head into fascism and are told to hate whoever those who control the mass media tells us to!! Hate breeds death!
