70% of Americans are Obese

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

What's the problem just like they made sub optimal test levels and a low IQ within range, they can do the same with obesity by increasing the upper limit.

Let's ask big pharma and see which one they need to sell more crap.

Well...somewhat of a misnomer since BMI is essentially worthless.

When I had around 10% BF and a full set of abs, I was considered "obese" by BMI.

Any measuring tool that doesn't differentiate between fat weight and lean body weight is worthless.

Clearly for people who don't work out and are high on BMI, that is valid. Not always so much for people who are gym goers.

But I suspect it would be no more than 10% falling into that category so probably still at least 60% of Americans, which is way too high.
