"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Ok so that means you are in Latinoman!

Dont worry none us are going to take this book literally. We want to see what we can get out of it as opposed to what is irrelevent.

Anymore?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

The laws are a rather shrewd way of dealing with people, but if you're a chronic nice guy or dealing with oneitis than it's a hell of an experience to apply in self-growth. You can see how I applied the 48laws in a few pages back on this thread...

I agree with Latinoman, the book won't really make a whole lot of sense if you haven't matured or experienced much of the real world yet, but if you have than you can view your experience with greater wisdom/intuition of other people's motives.

Count me in the study.

I'm going to order both books. No doubt. As I was reading (in a book store) a little bit of both and I like what I saw.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Manipulation vs. Influence.

This is my personal definition. When you manipulate somebody…you are cunningly trying to get somebody to do something that he/she might not do under more straight forward circumstances.

However, when you “influence” a person. You are actually convincing that person that doing something to you is of the best interest to him or the team or society or his family or etc.

With one you have to be in a way deceitful and we the other you are straight forward.

Anyone can get somebody to do something if you b.s. (manipulate) your way into that. But, it takes true skills, command of respect (e.g. getting others to respect you), great reputation, and leadership (e.g. alpha maleness) to influence somebody into doing something for you on his/her own accord.

Now…I admit that some level of “manipulation” is sometimes necessary in life in order to deal with difficult people and even to have full control of our environment.

However, relying solely on manipulation is a sure recipe into becoming a con man.

Jim Jones (sect leader in Guyana that manipulated thousands into drinking cyanide) was a manipulator. Muhammad Gandhi was an influencer.

People like Clinton, Reagan, Roosevelt, Kennedy, Truman, Churchill, etc. were leaders that influenced but had a little manipulation skills too (as everybody should), as all of them had to deal with difficult people.

All that said..."manipulation" skills are NOT a good thing to learn. Rather learn how to "influence" people.
I think there is no real differences just that the former has negative connotations...but based on the definition you gave I think that seduction falls somewhere in the middle of the two

Just purchased the 33 Strategies of War. The book might help in this category as well.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Guys, if you enjoyed The Art of Seduction, and importantly if you were able to comprehend the material and grasp the underlying principles of seduction, I would recommend that you get hold of the primary sources that Rob Greene was influenced by. For example:

The Seducers Diary by Soren Kierkgaard
The Tale of Genji by Lady Murasaki
The letters of Ninon De Lenclos, which can be read here: http://aelliott.com/reading/ninon/letters_mds/index.htm

He cites a wide variety of different sources throughout the text and reading these will give you an even greater appreciation of the art of seduction.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

March 1 sounds good. I'll help as much as I have time. And I'll imply insight from all 3 books as long as it's relevant.

How do you Greene's newest? Can a lot of it be applied to women?

Actually it can, if not, better than the Art of Seduction. But then again, you can apply warfare to life as a whole, hence my sig. But I'm helping for the sake of thinking beyond women, but it will apply. Speaking of which, there are plenty of women reading these books as well. Fine ones too..lol.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
