Why he is f'ed:

a) it is hard enough to get quality dates at 5'9 let alone a foot shorter.
b) people admire his courage, heart etc. but it is more sympathy - there's no status from being a feel good story

Why he might have hope:

a) he is famous now, hoes love fame, any GF he can attract becomes an instant minor celebrity
b) he could leverage his story into a career as a motivational speaker, he could earn millions of dollars possibly?

I like the kid, he brought a tear to my eye. What makes my blood boil is knowing that he faces a cruel uphill battle in the dating market.

No clue where this sh!t comes from. I'm 5' 9" and have no problems dating women 5'7" and under. Wouldn't really care to date a tall chick anyhow. What I have found is that very small girls (5'2" and under) want taller men (6'+).

It's not a copout but just calling it out that guys 6'1-6'4 have an advantage, all else held equal.

I wear lifts that make me appear 5'11 and seem to do a lot better with the lifts on, I don't think it's just my imagination.

I don't whine about it in real life. I'm not even sure its whining when I am merely seeing things as they are and not trying to make them what I want them to be.

Well here are reasons he could be more?

a) he can bench 315 pounds supposedly
b) he has a respectable 4.5 second 40 yard dash "on a good day"
c) 135 must be extremely muscular for his height
d) was high school valedictorian - so has much more brains than Rudy did which may help on the field and with his training methods

I hope he can actually contribute consistently in real games, when the outcome is in doubt (in ANY role), and not just be fielded in a Rudy context.

If he can do that, he has it made.

I'm also thinking he might get to meet people like Kobe and LeBron and Floyd Mayweather even if he is just a Rudy story and that could give him the ultimate social proof to help him pull?
