I wasn't around this forum when that advice was given but it sounds to me like it was 10 women over some extended period of time. I also interpreted it as not necessarily casual sex/rotation situations. Part of that 10 could be monogamous girlfriends.

Many years ago, there was an expression (or canned advice) on here called “Go F Ten Other Women” (GFTOW).

The theory was, if you hooked up with ten other women, you would no longer be bothered by rejection by a particular woman.

However, GFTOW advice was eventually abandoned because common sense suggests that most guys struggling with one chick probably can’t pull ten more lol.

Most men struggling with women don't have a lifetime notch count of 10 if they are 30 and under and struggling with women.

I reached that number by 32 plus many more that werent complete intercourse but were either bjs or hjs, the only fact that allowed me to manage it was to put some planning and work in it.

By work I dont mean dating harder, cold approaches and such but only finding out cheap flights, travel destinations and place where young people from the european union were used to gather...and act accordingly.

I knew if I had to play the "field" (dumpster) in the country I happened to be in my late teens and early 20s I would have end up as an incel despite we didnt have that term yet.

With some brain not only I managed to have lot of fun but I had it with top tier girls that most western men only dream about it checking a screen.
I wasnt cool, muscular or rich as now just younger and pissed off at my crappy situation there.

I recall I was the only one of my friends at 19 that didnt go out, didnt drink and spent all his weekends at home to save money, everyone made fun of me despite none of them scored a single piece of pvssy while collecting countless blue balls and humiliations.

Then summer came and I blasted those money all togheter in estern Europe, back then that curse known as EURO was nowhere to be seen there and prices were more than decent.

Long relationships, especially marriages, have a way to reducing notch counts. This alone is not a bad thing. If the relationship has good sex frequency over an extended period of time, then a lower notch count isn't a big deal.

A notch count of 7 would be a big deal for a 40 year old if 6 of the 7 were one night stands/short term bangs with one long relationship in there and long periods of celibacy.

Better to have a decent chick you can stay with for a while.

My relatively high count is a product of perennial singleness. I don’t consider myself enriched by the experience.

Sex frequency matters more than notch count to me, but I am more of a "Pleasure of Sex" guy than a "Thrill of the Hunt" guy from Caleb Jones' model.

I like your concept of "Lay Credits". I would think they expire after some amount of time, likely around a year as you suggest.

Past lays don't mean a lot if you're not getting laid currently.

Think how sad is the life of a man with 2 or 3 lays that married a woman with a much higher bodycount or a man that lost his virginity with his wife while she had many previoup partners before her?

I'm glad I manage to get from girls what they can give only once, that makes it much heavyer to stay with a woman whos first wasnt you.

A large count does help with viewing women as more disposable (ie, the way they view us). It levels the playing field a little bit, in other words. Mostly, it's damaging and empty, but that's the world we live in, and the one they wanted.

Man idk what side of Depaul you know but the Depaul parties are notorious for happening like any night of the week lol.
This specific crowd was mostly comprised of Lakeview/Lincoln Park artsy crowd kids who alot of them went to Depaul after graduating.. .. and man, you had some of the most beautiful/hot/cute women you can find.. Like 7 out of every 10 women was attractive. and they were all into drugs and partying and doing and experimenting/trying diff ****.. Its a music/arts crowd so what do u expect lol.

I was already 25 by that time but most of the girls were like 18-23

OP honestly I believe this site might be dangerous to you as you really cant decipher between bravado and dogma.

It's not quantity its quality, you could have fun with 60 fat ugly old women if you want. As far as plates unless your some gigalo, all you really need is 1 girl around, 2 is playa status, 3 is greedy and 4+ is just stupid and equals diminishing returns.
