"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

After listening to a motivational speaker talk about discipline and how its necessary to attain self esteem, I came to the conclusion that I should quit watching porn forever. Why? Well as the speaker said, one can not have self esteem until one is holding the steering wheel of his life. Negative habits will not let you control your life, THEY are in control of your life. Negative habits only provide a short term comfort in exchange of long term pain, if we recognize this then we should accept the fact that our negative habits are in control of our lives. They are making us do something we know we shouldn't do. And this includes routinely watching porn, smoking, being disorderly, etc.

My story. I should probably be considered a porn addict as i have been watching porn once a day on average for the past 2 years. 31 days ago I decided to stop watching porn forever. I celebrated each day that I didnt watch it as a winning day. I didnt feel much difference in my self esteem... until the 6 or 7th day. Then I started realizing how much more motivated i was to meet girls and to be social. Because now I couldn't rely on porn to become horny, and being horny is as powerful motivator as actually getting laid. See when I had porn, I didnt care if i met girls because I could just watch porn if i didnt meet anyone, so I barely put much effort into getting horny with girls. But now I dont have any other way of getting horny, so Im forced to go out, dance and grind on girls, push for the sexual talk, and escalate. And it doesn't feel like work, it feels as it if its coming instintively. Plus I have the energy of ten horses. I've noticed other changes in my behavior such as being more in the moment, and being more disciplined in other areas of my life such as jogging, reading, work, and i even joined a soccer club.

So there you go, this is my story of how getting rid of porn had the unintended consequence of making me a better person. I'm never going to watch porn again, I might see naked girls on tv or magazines but thats as far as i'll go.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

I remember I went without masturbating for 2 or 3 weeks a few years ago. I went to the club and started dancing with this fat chick and I came in my pants.

Lol. Thats just funny.
I think masturbation is good for you as long as you use your mind instead of porn to get horny.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I quit porn about 6 months ago, I've relapsed a couple of times but generally I do good.

I managed it, not through will power per se, but through limiting access. I only ever use public computers, so its impossible to look at porn! job done.

Cure.

lol wow I have to admit, that was pretty motivational. I know exactly what you mean by celebrating a "winning day." Setting goals for yourself and then being able to achieve them really makes you feel like your making progress in life and keeps you from getting lazy

I'm sorry, but if you watch porn (almost) every day, you should find some hobbies.

That's some funny sh#t.

I dont see the problem with watching porn at all, I mean if its ALL you do then maybe but once or twice a day isnt that big of a problem. You learn new stuff, see hot chicks, get ideas etc...

The only good thing I can think of going without porn for 30 days is that, there will be a whole bunch of new videos on that site that I havent seen yet...

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

No offense guys, but there's nothing wrong with porn.
It's just that you should have a woman instead of your hand and by eliminating your hand it's not necessarily going to bring you closer to a woman unless you go get one...

You guys are missing the point, this is about more than just getting rid of porn, its about getting rid of bad habits in order to build discipline and self esteem.

I have self esteem and control, I just like watching porn. I do relatively well with the ladies, I dont see a problem with enjoying porn at all.

Nobody said you had low self-esteem my man, everybody is different and we all have different imperfections. BTW stop trying to make this about yourself.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Agreed girls will think you're a perv if you watch porn, better to read a good story or replay past experiences in your head, anyone know a good story site by the way? Askjolene.com has good ones but it gets annoying with all the nasty sh!it mixed up into it.
I haven't been there in at least 2 years, but ****ical.com had some good stuff.

Masturbate to women you wanna get with...it'll definitely further motivate you.

To the OP, this is a great inspirational thread.

I am a few days into a porn free life, and you do feel sharper with the ladies, and generally hornier!!

there is definitely more positives than negatives on dropping porn! :woo:

Porn is so bad but

I know its like a hulk but everything in this life has a solution and you can do a schedule either watch porn once a month or once a year now im trying to resist it and how come it effects the relationship and my future life and etc?

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
