18 Years.

Today, I'm 18 years old. Sure, a lot has happened in the past year but, I don't feel any different. I don't have any plans today. I'm going out to a nice restaurant with my mom, and I'm going to the gym but it's nothing special. Last year for my birthday, I went to Dave and Buster's with my friends.

I guess I'm realizing that things are different now. I just started college. I'll never be walking those High School halls anymore. I wish things went differently but that's not reality. I gotta count my blessings.

I'm in a great school, and an amazing nursing program. It's the most affordable in my area. I was told that I have a 'golden ticket'. Even though I will have a stable career in a few years, that doesn't give me happiness.

Well, not sure what the purpose of this post was, just wanna get these thoughts off my chest. The things I write on SoSuave I usually don't talk about in person.

I feel strange, that's all.

Thank you Ruler. I do want to be a nurse but it's going to take a lot of hard work, which I'm not thrilled about. Once I'm making money in my 20's, as a bachelor with a great job, I think I will be happy. Right now I'm just at a crossroads. I've been mentally fatigued lately is all.

On Alpha: to quote Rollo "Alpha is mindset. You are not Alpha because of your achievements, you have your achievements because you are Alpha. You posses a mindset you either had to develop or it came naturally to you"

Point? same with happiness

So many people have that backwards..."when I have xyz then I'll be happy"

When really developing a positive philosopy is what drives you towards success

Is happiness a state of mind? It is....but...you have to cultivate it on a daily basis...

it usually boils down to cultivating positive or happy inducing habits on a daily basis, consistently over time...

Nostalgia is a dog who eats his own vomit.

Do not try and connect to the past because it will find you on its own.

Be excited for the future. Own what you are to become and revel in it.

Serve yourself fruitfully and conform because riches are built not found. BUT, always keep your heart gauged and passionate for when you need it.

Work as if (God) someone is always watching. You'll learn, you were always watching and you never let yourself down, no matter what anyone else thinks or saw.

Your at a great point in your life right now. I remember when I was there like yesterday. I just had started college and started dating a new girl, we were banging non stop. I wish I had known what I do now when I was that age. You are lucky that you have the knowledge that you have from this site at the age of 18. You have your whole life ahead of you and if you keep the mind set, you can achieve so much with not just women, but in life too. Make the most of it.
