I do find George Clooney handsome/sexy. He also is known to be quite charming & intelligent and is a well known prankster (sense of humor & fun). His looks are fading now but his other attributes make him quite attractive. I greatly dislike his politics, but that is another matter.
I find Craig Ferguson attractive. I also think he is quirky and funny.
Again. More than just looks factor in.
Interestingly I never found Leo DiCaprio particularly attractive, ditto Brad Pitt, they always looked like baby faced boys to me BUT Brad Pitt is much more handsome now as an older man than he ever was as a younger guy.
People can have similar features but look very different.
Attraction happens at an individual level. So generalizations don't capture the nuances.
Its like art. Some people go wild for Picasso. Some people go wild for Joan Miro or Salvador Dali or Van Gogh or Renoir or Charles Russell or Rembradt. But people have differing taste in all things that involve subjective preferences. Art, fashion, music, human appearance.
You continue to take a very absolutist view. You are not the arbiter of what appeals to me (or anyone else) as an individual. Each individual gets to decide that for him or herself.
Are there general trends? Sure. But those general trends do not capture nuance. They cannot.
Looks are NOT 90% of how a sensible sought after woman chooses. Not at all. In fact, for a woman who lots of handsome guys want? Well 100% of her choices are very good looking. It is a given. She chooses based on other things aside from looks.
Looks only get you access. Who you are beyond looks is what makes you stand out.
Now. If a girl isn't hot enough that all her choices are good looking? Then perhaps appearance is more a factor. But for beautiful women who have tons of handsome men to choose from? Looks are a requirement to get an opportunity, but not why she chooses a particular man.
Dadynamically used to talk about that constantly around here. He understood that very well.
