As said, I am, in many respects a traditionally/classically handsome guy, and I've known(no, not in the Biblical sense) many more like myself. Even we have parts of ourselves which are below par* that we have to overcome. To your other points: People stop being nice to attractive guys, when we stop putting the most basic efforts into ourselves. No one's smiling at me, when I walk into a restaurant wearing a rumpled T shirt covered in spaghetti stains, with my hair uncombed

Here’s my list of what attracts women, in order.

1. Psychopathy, anti-social behavior, daredevil activity, violence, criminality.
2. Status (can be money), social adroitness, popularity, being in the clique, proximity and repeated interaction (eg, work, school).
3. Looks.

Women override good looking men for the others all the time.

I do check a lot of these. If you want to live in general chaos, end up alone, get into increasingly more problematic situations with the law and privately, this is certainly the cheat sheet for the way to do it. I’m trying to pair back on this but it did achieve what you are saying.

Very few can be textbook movie stars in the vein of Tom Cruise, George Clooney, The Rock, and(to a lesser extent)Denzel Washington. Even here, how long such fellas can keep it going remains to be seen...

Now that TC has finally admitted he's no longer physically capable of doing what he did in The 80s and 90s(and that it'dve probably been wise to lay off the action hero schtick sometime around '10), and has long since aged out of playing run-of-the- mill romantic leads, does he really have the dramatic chops to pull off character driven roles? Clooney's believability as a relentlessly suave man about town is already in decline... Will that even exist at all in less than a decade, when dude's in his 70s? Washington seems to recognize that he's stretched his matinee idol status as far as he can, and is thus transitioning into both Bible thumping and behind the scenes work

So yeah, your handsomeness can definitely become a bind, same way women's beauty is often simultaneously both a blessing and jinx

It's not a coincidence that Johnny Depp's personal and professional life went to sh-t, when he started letting himself go physically. Compare his troubles with Josh Brolin, who was arrested for punching out Diane Lane during their brief marriage, yet suffered little to no career reversal, went on to marry and produce offspring with some hottie almost 30 years his junior

Brolin doesn't look like a geriatric hobo who sleeps in a dumpster, Depp does. Ain't surprising then that the public only extended their benefit of the doubt to the former of these two
