So I have seen these commonly used by guys when doing nightgame myself and I was wondering how you all would respond to these. For those that do not know what an AMOG (Alpha Male the Other Guy) situation is, it is when you are talking to a girl, usually at a bar/club/lounge, and a random guy comes in with the intention of either taking your girl or just ruining your interaction.
The two common ones I have encountered are:
"Have you got a lighter?"
"How do you two (or you all) know each other?"
What I have learned in dealing with these situations:
1. Law of least effort - Do not put too much or even any energy in talking to the guy
2. If the girl is really into you, she will diffuse the situation for you as long as you just focus on her and not the guy
3. If you can, focus on the girl and ignore the guy completely.
What I would do.
The Lighter interruption.
I would handle this in a variety of ways.
1. Immediately change the topic fast after the question and pretend like he didn't even ask it, even position my body between him and the girl so I am blocking her off.
So for the lighter, I would simply say "and as I was saying", and block the guy off physically.
2. The "One second man" rule.
I would say "wait just one second bro", and then ignore him and talk to the girl, putting my back to him so he gets the hint.
3. Answer for the group and say no, then go right back to the topic, making sure my body is between him and the girl.
"No we don't, and as I was saying so we traveled to"
"How do you two know each other?"
This I would handle in a different way as it is a trickier disruption.
1. Joke in some way and say "we've been married for 90 years" and then immediately go back to talking to the girl and ignoring the guy, never giving him full eye contact.
2. The "wait, one second man" line, and then go back to the conversation, and subtly put your body between him and the girl. Then if he asks again just say "wow, he really wants to interview us, so this is my wife Roxanne and we are celebrating out 100 year anniversary, anyways, as I was saying" (turn to the girl and ignore guy again).
But I love to hear better Game advice from the pros.
