I think the definition of masculinity may be distorted by media that often try to promote bad examples of masculinity. IRL it looks more like that e.g.:
TYPE A: 6/10 guy out of looks around 40, only natural muscles, belly, average job HOWEVER he is caring husband, great father for 2 kids, good employee, keeps good relations and vibe around himself, gets on every tough situation with initiative, slightly above average with money domestic politics-> VERDICT: 7/10 of healthy masculinity
TYPE B: 9/10 looks guy age 26, chad, emotional problems, doing drugs, drinking, heavy rotation of females of dubious sort (but hot), training from time to time at gym, some incoming issues with law, average job and no interest in developing his skills, perhaps some past issues, poor social bonding capabilities, high on egoism -> VERDICT: 2.5/10 of healthy masculinity
TYPE C: Pretty boy type doctor, 8.5/10 looks, around 33y old, going to gym regularly (but not on steroids), PhD, great job, likes to fly solo, but dates around 1 new partner per year, good at his job, rather egoistic but helpful when needed, perhaps a good father someday, perhaps no children ever, avoids conflicts or resolves them efficiently, interested in problem solving around himself or at job, keeps finances in check-> VERDICT: 9/10 of healthy masculinity
It is obvious that some females (atavistic) gravitate towards atavistic men and there's obvious magnetism about atavistic behaviour that everyone feels from time to time (usually ppl feel it more if they have not developed their character or rational thinking or neglected their development or maintenance at some point).
Since very hot females do not really need to develop their character to be interesting for vast majority of males, they do not develop it and remain atavistic therefore they like what they see when they see atavistic men.
That's why it is important to screen for high value (developed) females as HQ father and HQ mother will mosty try to develop character of their children (for female it will mean lessons like "do not date bad boys", "study to be self-sufficient", "respect yourself and others", "do not jump to man's bed too quickly", "do not get pregnant before you will finish your chosen education path" etc.). Poor quality women will not get too much of such lessons or they will look at what parents do rather than what parents tell to do (as parenting and leadership are about giving examples).
