Mostly due to Pokemon Go.

Generation 9 Pokemon bought in a new tree, flower, 3 dogs, and a cat line.

So if you see a woman sitting under a tree, or a woman walking her dog...

"Did you hear about the new tree / new dogs Pokemon" etc.
 

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

I recently heard 2 girls on opposites of a train station platform talk about Pokemon from Pokemon Go. I just jumped in to shout the answer. Though no actual conversations but you get the idea.

With Gen 9 bringing in more cats and dog Pokemon, easy to talk to girls with dogs and such.
