Anyone else spending valentines day alone?

Well this year makes it official for me: I have been alone for every single valentines day of my teens and 20's. When me and my lifelong friend still lived in the same state, we would usually go out and get drunk since he was always alone for valentines day too and we both hated that day so much. But he moved to a different state a couple years ago and he's since gotten married as well. Ever since he moved away, I usually spend valentines day in front of a slot machine at the casino while I have some beers and vape cannabis oil. I am also going to allow myself to smoke cigarettes again for tomorrow and tomorrow only (I used to smoke them regularly at my last job, but quit smoking them after I quit that job). I've used these vices to cope with being alone and they're all I have, so I really go at it hard with them on valentines day. I don't want this to be a sob story post, so one positive thing I will say is that I am not going to allow myself to buy an OnlyFans subscription again this valentines day. Last year on valentines day, I ended up giving in and buying an OnlyFans subscription for the first time ever because this one girl who's a model on Instagram had her subscriptions discounted for that day. That created a huge downward spiral and over the course of the year, I ended up buying a dozen OnlyFans subscriptions for different content creators on that site. But I am done with OnlyFans for good and I will not allow myself to buy another subscription, ever. Either way, I hope everyone on here has a better day tomorrow than I will.

I think its more that I already had a porn addiction before I ever bought that first one and buying OF subscriptions only made it worse because then I became addicted to OF.

OF is like the girlfriend experience of porn. It gives you a sense of connection even if its fake and you know the woman wants to do it rather than being exploited.

But it sounds like you have a spiritual issue (about the smoking and having nothing else) rather than a woman issue. You would still feel empty if you had women.

That's a very accurate description for OF, more than half of the reason why I kept buying subscriptions is just to talk to those women in the DM's because I have no women to talk with in my own personal life. But I knew that it was all fake and that none of them cared what I had to say, its no difference than talking to a stripper at a strip club because those women don't care what you have to say and only want you to buy a private dance from them. With talking to women in the DM's on OF, they're only talking to you because they want you to buy additional content that they keep locked behind a paywall or to buy custom content that comes at a very high price tag.

I don't really think its a spiritual issue though, I smoke and drink mainly because I want to numb any and all emotional pain from being alone and to take my mind off the thought of being alone for the rest of my life. Sucks you're having to spend valentines day alone too, hoplefully it'll be different for the both of us next year, but who knows.

Saint valentines day is just another $tupid made-up day to get consumers to buy stupid stuff, just like mothers and fathers day. Don't fall for the optics where a lot of couple profess their love so everyone can see it and feel validated by that.

I used to think that way, until 2 years ago when I got unplugged, after that I started to get my life in order, money, physique, hobbies, social life, better friends. Most people are boring, just going through life with no purpose. Before you think about getting a woman, think about your life, how is it, finances, physique, mental health, hobbies, social activities other than dating, finding people with your same interests.

You should work to improve your finances by earning money on what you enjoy doing, you should exercise hard its good for the brain and for your physique, you should have hobbies after work that make you feel happy that you enjoy doing, you should hang out with successful, not losers who throw their life away chasing tail, or getting drunk every day, you should practice approaching, but it shouldn't be all you think. Don't do anything thinking that you'll find a woman, be your mental point of origin.

Have a goal and stick to it, for example @Murk wants to go to 12% body fat, in my case I wanted to practice game and banter with women, but never forgetting that getting my life in order was the priority. I was depressed but after I learned (still learning everyday) what I wrote, its liberating man. This is not a sprint is a marathon.

Don't sweat it man. if you knew how many people don't care about vday, you'd probably snap out of it.. For example my brother.

My older brother doesnt give a fucc about women or vday .. the other day some woman (8/10 blonde) was hitting on him and literally lettin him know shes single. (prob because of Vday) I guess she thought he liked her because he was telling her/showing her where something was at Target.. This man literally says "yeah im sorry im not interested" to her face and walks off LMAO .. hes been this way since a teenager.. he jus doesn't care rn hes more concerned about getting his wealth up so he can support a family one day.

Long time ago I picked him up at work once and this beautiful Italian chick was talking to him outside, and u can see he was trying to leave and its like she wouldnt let him .. it took a group of people comin out the doors to break between them for him for him to break away.. I remember taking a pic (thought I was taking a video) because I thought it was funny lol.. still got it somewhere in snapchat archives

I'll never forget the time I was walking out of the store with some roses I picked up for a girl I was going to see on Valentine's day. These older women saw me and said what a nice gentleman I was and she was going to be a lucky lady. Lol, I guess they never saw the box of condoms I had. I didn't give a schitt about those roses. All I cared about was getting laid.

Stupidest holiday there is. Gyno- centric. Only day a guy has to pay a fee(roses, chocolates, etc) to get laid.

I think the movie "Hitch" 2005 came out on February 11, 2005 and I watched that in the cinema with my dad when I was 29 years old. 2005 was the last year of my 20s.
