The USSR ended in 1991. Since the late 1990s or so, a lot of Western men have been going to former USSR countries to find better sexual and relationship options than what's available in the West. Ukraine has been a common destination, as have Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, and a few other. Even Russia itself has been an option for these men. Seems like that option is coming to an end.

Asians have a culture of being extraordinarily resilient defenders - think of the WW2 Japanese soldiers who were still holding their position for decades , or Viet Cong, etc. Red China would need to attack from the sea, and there would be no point in turning Taiwan into a parking lot.

Taiwan is where all computer and phone chips are made, America would nuke China back into the stone age for attacking.
