The "lover/provider" dichotomy is more of a behavioral set, not a socioeconomic station.

The "lover" is the physically attractive and/or dominant, confident, "alpha" male that sexually attracts women.

The "provider" is the compliant, subordinate man who emotionally attracts women by appealing to her nesting urges.

"Lovers" can be wealthier, financially, than "providers." What makes a provider a provider is his willingness to, you guessed it, provide his resources. Not necessarily having more resources.

No, you should not hide your wealth if you have it. Wealth indicates status, and status is sexually attractive to women.

I don't buy fancy cars even though I can afford it because it's a waste of money. I work too much and too hard to waste it on frivolous things.

I'm not going to change just cause females might want me to. That's beta as fvck if you ask me.

When I did drive an expensive car, girls did come on to me. But who the fvck wants that? Lol. It's like an endless loop. For all the negative talk about "providers," here... That's what it seems to me that they want most. Not some cartoon fictional alpha lover Chad from some romance novel.

She'll figure out if you're faking. But there's lots of rich guys that can remain in the shadows.
It's actually the little things that give you away.... it's in the details. The kind of shirt you wear, what kind of wallet you have, do you have a good haircut, is your car clean and well maintained. Women are epic level spies... you aren't hiding if you have no money: you aren't hiding that you are wealthy. They can sniff out anything.

I will tell you the biggest thing that give you away if you have means... it is how you behave when someone disrespects you. People with money are not used to being disrespected... so when it happens, they don't laugh or get angry... they just look surprised.

Read some of the accounts in this thread:

You'll see that those females have their providers, but it's not stopping them.

Simple question
Does being rich help her perception of you a lover or does it immediately put you in a provider category?
If you use your money properly it will be a lover thing and not a provider thing.

If you buy her 4 expensive dinners for the first 4 dates, that's being a provider

If your first date takes her to a Casino and you stay overnight at the hotel because you both drank too much to drive, that's more of a lover game.

If you take her shopping for sexy lingerie she will be wearing for you later, that's lover.
But if you let her spend your money on shoes and handbags and other stuff you don't care about that doesn't benefit you, that's provider.

Use your money to enhance the fun and sexy parts.

It's okay to splash some cash once in a while.
No need to overdo it, but you don't really want her to think you're a cheapskate either (unless you are).
Also don't see the advantage in her thinking you're poor, although some claim girls go for deadbeats (and some do).
To me, confidence is knowing I can take care of myself and stand on my own two feet (and that includes financially). Not just in knowing I can go up to a girl and hold eye contact when I'm talking to her, or whatever it is.

It's probably good if you think she may be a gold digger to test her early on by pretending to be broke or cheap or something.

The only reason to keep that facade would be if you know she's gonna be a gold digger if she finds out but you want to keep banging.

I have 2 cars , a little tidy 20 year old vauxhall, that is brilliantly reliable, and I use for doing small tasks. My other car is a BMW M3

whenever I'm in the Vauxhall people presume my business has closed and things are going terrible, Ive turned up to a few dates in it. and the aura from women and society is totally different to when i drive round in the M3.

my point being the whole of society is gold diggers so to speak, including men. I know a couple of young men, and if they see someone who owns an AMG mercedes, they behave like they've met a Demi-god. even if the person is the biggest arsehole know to man.

that's smart to have a cheaper car for personal errands and business and only use the more expensive one for presentation.

The question here is - does advertising your wealth lead to hotter women?

Do Pua’s overplay game and downplay money as a cope?

The fear of gold diggers is irrational for 95% of men.

All women are attracted to men with resources. The ability to provide appeals to a woman's emotional nesting urges. This doesn't make her a gold digger. This doesn't make her shallow any more than desiring a young, pretty girl makes you shallow. This is simply how human attraction works.

Being able to provide a comfortable upper-middle class lifestyle isn't going to attract attention from trophy wives. Don't worry. Instaho's aren't getting wet by your Banana Republic chinos and well-kept Acura.

And if you are in the top 5% of the socioeconomic pecking order (income > $500K/year, net worth > $3M), you only have to worry about gold diggers if you're stupid and beta enough to actually marry one. They really are not hard to spot -- especially if you're in an LTR with one.
