after a while I started talking with some female colleagues and they were saying that they prefer good looking and young men for sex ( the girls are around 35 years old ) , while for relationships they want older men as they have more resources

Dude the guy has been married successfully for 25 years (nearly an impossible task today) and has a daughter in college who actually has her act together and knows what she is doing. That is one hell of a lot bigger task to accomplish than being able to screw cheap sluts once or twice a week.

What i'm saying is there are some older guys who KEPT it and improved it. But for 98.5% or so, their sexual energy and swagger will have decayed. There's a handful of woman who have also done the same thing. It's not super common, but that must be some really good pvssy.
