Blade Runner 2049 might be the greatest Incel movie ever made

When we think of incel movies the first that comes to mind is usually Martin Scorsese's Taxi Driver. And more recently, Todd Phillip's Joker.

Both movies do a good job capturing the psychological toll of isolation and how it causes men to lash out.

But I tend to think Blade Runner 2049 does a better job of capturing the True Forced Loneliness aspect of Inceldom....

Officer KD6-3.7 (played by Ryan Gosling) is a replicant. He's a social outcast that gets mistreated and disrespected by society.

He does his job and then comes home to a holographic girlfriend, JOI played by Ana de Armas.

He develops genuine feelings of love for his AI girlfriend and he believes she genuinely loves him too. But later on in the movie we see a scene where he comes across an advertisement for JOI and he's reminded that she's just an AI that's programmed to be a companion.

He realizes that nobody has ever loved him nor will anybody ever love him.

At the end of the movie he dies alone on a staircase. No one will mourn him and no one will remember him.

Officer K definitely fits the incel archetype.

I have to wonder if virtual girlfriends (or robot sex dolls) ever became a reality how many of us would end up in a relationship with an artificial girlfriend.

You would like it.... The movie is sexy and stylish in its presentation.... the cinematography is fantastic....

I am inherently skeptical of anything which is marketed for mass appeal (although I haven't explicated the reasons why), so I actually hope it didn't have too much of it.

When technology like JOI comes out and is customised and normalised, it's OVER for the female attention game. No more simping, no more orbiting, no more white knighting - men as a whole will become mentally stronger, not rampantly weak like today. It will be like a blackout. And when this technology gets translated into material androids that you can actually touch and feel... that's it...

I can't wait to see what effects it has on both the dating game and society when men just genuinely don't care anymore due to having their JOIs, and don't feel any need to simp, orbit or white knight anymore in even the slightest. What will women say? how will they react? Is it going to cause an outburst of social turmoil, or is it actually going to be a harmonious easing that helps make peace? I'm so eager to see it.

Watched this a number of times since 2018, remember missing the theatre window (was late for the IMAX and let pass). The scene where the hologram syced with an actual hooker was really wierd. Could you allow your fantasy gf to take over a real prostitute? The movie Her 2103 also was like this. Did you see that?

BTW, the hooker is played by Mackenzie Davis who looked hot in this movie, but she got woke and looked terrible in Terminator Dark Fate...

I guess you must envy Ben Affleck if she's with the likes of her. She did look hauntingly pretty in the Bladerunner2049 movie.

Terminator Dark Fate had a Terminator working at a dry-cleaning shop for a living and shooting off John Connor at the beginning.

You only had the first two Terminators movies,. After the other Terminator movies afterwards don't live up to the reputation of the first two.

I watched Terminator Dark fate in the theater because it got so much bad reviews that I had to go out and see what all the fuss was about.
It was still an entertaining movie in its own right.

Just saying, they just keep butchering the Terminator franchise. The Terminator Genisys (2015) was also a fail. With all the crappy sequels this last decade, Terminator 3 and Terminator: Salvation don't look so bad.

Going back to the incel...we keep forgetting to mention that the Bladerunner portrayed by Ryan Gosling is a machine himself and therefore can't really be an incel because he's not human in the first place. Maybe, as a machine he doesn't want a real woman? It's also hard to sell that someone with the looks of Ryan Gosling can really be incel. You know as an actor he's probably swimming in options and is like Steve Carrel portraying the 40 Year Old Virgin, or Jon Heder portraying Napolian Dynamite.

That being said, as an actor, I prefer Joaquin Pheonix because he acted in at least two "incel" movies, Joker (2019), and Her (2013). and comes across as more convincing portraying an incel as a human being (not a robot himself), and he's also woke and that's not affecting his career. He even chided that camera crews and behind the scenes should be more diverse and said so at the British awards presentations earlier this year. Less known actors are best to pull that off, but an A list actor with good looks is a touch sell to be taken seriously as an incel.
