That's a good option to. You can get a used one for 5 bucks on Craigslist or eBay if he's low on funds. FB marketplace is a good option too. Picked up an decent iPhone 8 for 300.

I literally had a chick that I've hung out with twice give me the run around today. She sent me a "hey" and I immediately told her we should hang out this weekend. She started dancing around the invite and within 3 messages I said "no worries. Consider my generous offer of wanting to hang out with a divorced 28 yr old with a daughter withdrawn. Maybe you'll get lucky and get a better offer from another successful guy today".
She sent me 3 texts back playfully telling me that I was an A hole and I didnt even read the fb messages. I just deleted them.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
