Hypergamy obviously exists because women are more likely to leave you for another man than men are to leave their wives imo.

It's basically the same thing, except getting a girl to run off with you and leave her husband is easier than a mistress/side hoe getting a dude to leave his wife, a dude cheating most likely wants side pvssy not a love story.

This is a huge chunk of how male and female jealousy works too, when your girlfriend fvcks someone else you're more likely to think that it's because you didn't satisfy her than that she literally fell for another guy, whereas women don't get that you can bang side pvssy on the weekends but still keep your monday to Friday girlfriend.

"In love" is the state of the brain being awash with 3 chemicals: Dopamine, Serotonin and Norepinephrine. Natures reason for this is probably because it increases the chances of healthy reproduction. It take around 2 years for your brain to stop the over production of these chemicals, returning you back to normal state. By then the pregnancy has finished and child is no longer in its most vulnerable state. So with those chemicals that bond humans together so tightly gone, hypergamy is free to creep in because the female seeks better survival odds for her and the child and because nature wants her to reproduce with strongest partner as possible. It is also when the man is most likely to also look for other partners because nature wants reproduction.

Some couples do stay committed to each other beyond the 'in love' stage due to oxytocin and vasopressin chemicals in brain. Also because nature wants beta traits (less reproductive and less able to survive) out of the gene pool.

That's my take on it anyway.

I think childless women (although nowadays, even single mommies are starting to do this) are always doing "sexual market assessment", and becomes interested in a man that seems to be at the upper range of achievable (i.e., in terms of genetics, money, status, etc.) as per her initial assessment - but then after being with the man for a short while, she does a follow-on assessment, which includes, obviously, a good assessment on personality, compatibility, etc., and then decides to either bolt then & there, or stick around but be in the state of "I'll stick around until there is a better deal".

As for myself, I always get dumped after 2 months , which I attribute to being able to run good initial game, and somehow catching women at a point where they are more interested in connecting than usual, but ultimately not being able to keep up the shtick. I think part of this is that I just need to be more of an a33hole with women once I am with them.
