I frequent quite a few other forums. I am not logicallefty on any nor am I a moderator on any of them so wanna be detectives don't try to find me.... But I remember when this forum had 160,000+ users and around 80,000 were cut for inactivity a few years ago... @SoSuave.com please correct me if I am wrong on these numbers. Now we are back up over 85,000. And I can testify that we as the moderator team get rid of most spammers and tolls not long after they come on. Most, but not all. We are not perfect. But this forum is still thriving. Yet people come here and actively post how lame the forum us. Yet they keep coming back. Just can't get enough. Can't stay away. It's just funny to me. The Internet is the single biggest collective ever known to human kind. So if SS is so bad like some come here time after time to say, WHY THE F you still here? You don't need us. And we don't need you. GO.. Go.. Go.. But to 99% of you I say THANK YOU for being here. The different angles and experiences from you with honesty and sincerity are what makes this forum so awesome. I'm 44 and pretty experienced with women. But even some of you younger guys than me have posted stuff that has helped me.. I am grateful to all of you who are legit and want to be here. For those who think they are above this forum, I laugh whenever you post and if I wasn't a moderator I would tell you how I really think.

Isn't "taking the heat" defined in 2018 as holding back from what you really wanna say? If so I am a pro. I am so tired if having to exercise restraint. I do it as a cop and I do it here. Take the moderator title away here and I will have a few posts to reply to and PMs to send. Or more than few. Maybe several. Or a bunch. Or many. Or a lot. But only to select people. 99% of the people here are awesome. I just get sick of the repeated SS bashing from the same people who keep coming back.

There's a lot of value to be mined from this place and the people in it. That's why even though I consider my game pretty tight now, I stick around to offer what I can but also to keep learning. But a lot of what is posted here is challenging some very deeply held beliefs about how the world either is or should be, and being open to that is a very real challenge. It's still one I fight with every day. When I wake up next to my gf and she's staring at me with that cute little smile, it's hard to believe she's capable of trying to hurt me. But I know she can because I have been in this exact situation before. It's not a dig at women, either. It's just human nature. Things change, people change.

So to the haters, I understand your position. But it's better to navigate life with an understanding and acceptance of how things are than to hope for an ideal you may never realize. It's better to love people as flawed individuals, to accept that they can not be ideals, than to live blindly. And most importantly, to truly understand what people are capable of, so that you can live your life the way you want to. Knowledge is power. Power you can use to navigate through your life.

I started lurking SS in late 2002 but never joined as I was married at the time..SS saved my ass because I learned game and escaped being ass raped in divorce court.There is some very good advice here you just have to separate the wheat from the chaff.When everybody b!tched about PK being banned I agreed with it..if a mod tells you to cool it then cool it or face SS wrath lol.I say if you don't like SS then don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

I get a lot of value out of your wisdom and out of the wisdom of many other people here. The things I learn here help me better understand men in a general sense (and I thought I understood them pretty well when I first got here, lol), and more importantly its helped me better understand the men I am closest too: My father, my son, my son's father, my boyfriend...

I appreciate being here and the online conversations both on the forum and in PM. There are some really great men here. Impressive men who have earned my respect for various reasons. Men who are striving to be the best they can be. We need more great men out there in the world. Its great that SS exists toward that end.

I think this forum is what men in general needs; an online mentoring system of sorts that the modern men has been lacking.

Haters just need to understand that differing views doesn't mean shiet, it must not affect you and most importantly understand that people in general are intelligent to analyse what's written and form their own opinions on what suited to their need.

Moderators here have allowed some good discussions going even when things got heated up, now that's a sign of maturity of the forum.

If one were to notice, right now in this very minute, there's just 29 members online but there's close to 300 visitors reading what's posted and even if just 1 person has improved because of what's posted here, I think that's motivation enough for posters to keep going at it.

Yeah, I can see where IDGAF and being a mod, could be a huge challenge.

I think the biggest issue is orbiters want the easy path to be a DJ, NOW! Fact is, there are no shortcuts, so they look elsewhere.

Can you not block IP addresses from re-registering when you ban bots/trolls/rule violators so you're not constant dealing with repeaters?

I'm not a tech guy, anyone correct me if I'm wring, but I think blocking IPs went away as soon as the Internet moved to mobile devices, which use changing IP addresses.

The best anti-spam solultion for this forum is quite practical. There's a setting in vbulletin where first posts have to be approved by a moderator before they appear. That would eliminate almost all of our problem customers, especially the foreign dating tour spammers.

Yep, pretty much. On not only mobile devices but even some non mobile connections to the IP address is dynamic so they can randomly change at any time. The thing about my original post with the haters is that most of them aren't breaking the forum rules so we have no cause to block or ban them (unlike the spammers and obvious trolls or folks who attack individuals directly). Most of the haters are not attacking any one individual, but the forum collective itself. Many of them think that they know better than any of us and are ONLY here to save the rest of us peasants. Be like me hating McDonalds but still going to eat lunch there time and time again because I think McDonald's will bankrupt without my $7.00 lunch purchase and it's my job to make sure it doesn't for whatever dumb a$$ illogical reason.
