I mean at the time of the post, they were over 4 years in with a 2 year old son. If she hadn’t changed a bit by then, then I would say it’s pretty positive (I actually noticed that a LOT of the older guys on here say that after the 5 year mark is when you really know someone because they’ll show their true colors by then, usually it being much earlier).

I don't think it's a conscious thing.

Love bombing happens when you don't yet have a commitment, since it's scarce, it is an honest expression.

But once you have it for a while, the novelty wears off, the feelings change.

Kind of like a 17 y/o high school who is head over heels in love with his still virgin girlfriend.
