"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Is anyone else getting tired of this?

The two girls who go to the bar, in miniskirts, and rotate 90 degrees to face one another, and steadfastly refuse to even offer so much as a passing glance to anyone else in the room, all night, as they stare into one another's eyes and act like they are SO cool that this person likes them! For bonus points, they can both have dates who look like they just played tennis at a country club standing nearby.

Yawn.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

People like this have nothing going on in their lives so they have to get their fix by going out in public and acting like b list celebrities of the week.

I approached a set like that last week by asking them, hey are you guys twins?
The ugly one said no and that they are having a private conversation.

I asked her friend does she always act like this or her day went bad? She started qualifying the ugly.

I told them, I bet they are best friends though, they smiled and asked why? I said cool I'll show you. Do you use the same shampoo?

They looked at each other and that's when I said exactly why best friends look at each other while making a joint decision and some BS.

Got em hooked escalated some palm reading, jewellery finger readings. Then a friend of mine yanked me away for some shots and I forgot to take their numbers :/

Field Report:

At another bar Saturday night there were 3 straight girls to my right. The two nearest were friends with each other. I rotated my body slightly away from them because I was on the corner and they were close. As I sat down the one furthest away gave me an extremely hungry look.

For the first ten minutes I was quiet. The bartender (who is hot but who I can't stand) called me sweetie (I cringed - she's never used my name in over a year, but I haven't been there much since I went there dressed as Trump on Halloween).

The one furthest away walked around the bar and brushed against me, then on her way back said "Are you alone? Are you having a good night? I just wanted to say that you are very handsome." I thanked her. She was overweight though.

But the other two girls overheard that and started talking to me. I got them to buy me a drink (by telling them what day of the week they were born when they told me their birthdays, in 1993 and 1995). I thanked them for the drink and left.

Note: To get the girls to my right to open up I asked one for the time, refusing to pull out my phone and having forgot my watch. I noticed one had a paisley purse so I opened my suit coat to flash my silk paisley liner and they loved it.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
