Regardless of her status, single mom or not, her profile pic is a very good indication of how highly she values you and your relationship with her, Or not..…
If I can't get a profile couple pic at least once, then she can't make it in my life.
Most people will probably say you're childish or immature for saying that, but I agree with you. I feel people undervalue and undermine the impact that social media has on our society, particularly on females (who use social media incessantly and like a hawk, which is most females.) Females love relationships, loving, bonding, connecting, etc.

What made me curious about this topic is that my girlfriend had an ex as her profile pic (as I can see from scrolling through her old profile pics) but she's never done it with me yet. And although she busts my balls for my looks, we have taken good selfies before and she's never chosen to make it her profile pic. Just her and her daughter. Hell, we have some nice family pics from our vacation that she could've used. I'd hate to make an issue out of nothing, but it does make me scratch my head

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

@randalljohnson maybe she realized with that last boyfriend that she put all her eggs in one basket only to be disappointed, and she has raised her standards now? THAT has nothing to do with you, per se, it has to do with lessons she has learned.

I do think you should put your foot down about her bullchit 'teasing'. In no uncertain terms, she is to treat you with respect and stop the 'jokes'. Wouldn't you feel better if you were dating a woman whom was nothing but positive and supportive about you, and who you were? That is the way it's supposed to be between two loving people. At the very least she needs to shut her mouth with the insults.

Damn... that is so insecure...

It's HER profile... You are not part of her identity.

A few photos of both.. a mention here and there... of course but a combo photo ?... Seriously ?

It's a very good indication of how much she values being with you if she advertises it online. If she's proud, she shows it, and lets everyone know.
Or, has the quality level of most women sunk to new lows these days? If it has, then my mindset is still operating somewhere in the 20th century.…

So all the friends and stuff they take pics with ARE part of their identity, but you are not?

Billtx answered the question well in the first response but it is a sign of value.

If your girl sees you as high value she will want to ehow you off.

Being "mad" if you arent in her profile pic isnt the way to handle it but you need to be aware of it and what it indicates.

Not for a PROFILE photo.... She is an individual just like you are. Do you rush and change your profile into a couples photo every time you get in a relationship ? Plenty of other places to put the goofy couple photos.... JMHO...

I don't understand why this is such a big fuss. A girl having a profile pic with her boyfriend usually means this is the guy that for the time being, she sees as a strong candidate for a long term relationship. However, existing in some girl's profile pic as her boyfriend does not make you high value or alpha or a man. I have fuked girls who have half their profile pics with their boyfriend and still ****ed me. Unless it's a marriage, I would not worry at all about this. They usually end up with profile pics of their providers while they wanna keep the alpha fukers their secret.

This is more of a self-confidence issue than anything else.

I don't believe that's the case because she still runs to facebook when something good/bad happens to her. Also, she's recently been posting stuff about us being soulmates so I doubt she "wouldn't want to jump the gun" by making a pic of us her profile pic

Well it's good to know that somebody thinks she doesn't have red flags

I never said that. In fact, I think she is a grossly negligent parent for leaving her children with a stranger while she travels. The only person I would ever trust to watch my children are family, my ex included. To me she is of questionable character with this decision. WAY to many crazies in the world who do great at hiding in plain site. And the crazies know who they can groom into trusting them. No way.

Her is a possible red flag.
You on the other hand, is a sure red flag for caring that much about a profile picture on a social media.
