2) with an ex that won't recommit to getting back together

3) talking to three other guys

4) Trying to put some loser/bad boy in to a relationship so she can make him some super Jesus Millionaire/James Bond/Beta provider type guy

So a woman tells me she doesn't have a boyfriend the other day... over a coffee. I simply say with a grin and without batting an eyelid, 'neither do I... a girlfriend I mean, we will have to hang out together more often then!' Taking her out to dinner and movies tonight. I don't usually do this... but it is like we are role-playing being boyfriend and girlfriend, which I am happy to roll with.

Pretty common with Asian girls that they want the boyfriend experience up front. Holding hands from the beginning of the first date seems std which freaked me out the first time I encountered it.

I wouldn't ask. Honestly, the onus is on her to communicate what her status is. If you are looking for a serious female for an LTR then definitely ask. You need to determine the quality of female you are speaking with. Otherwise, assume single-ness and have fun!

I think the point is that you shouldn't be surprised to find out that single means she's ****ing 3 other guys, it's a side effect of going after HB9s

we shouldn't. it's only important if you were under another impression or if you needed a reminder.

just yesterday I was reading a thread where the OP didn't want to acknowledge the possibility that a girl would go cold on you suddenly and then come back because of another guy coming into and then out of the picture, that guy could've used some reminding that he's not the only player in the game

it also ties into that whole striking while the iron is hot thing, so that nobody else has a chance to steal your girl
