Personally,

I like ID cards and ID chips. Especially, with all the identity theft happening these days. Especially with the loads of illegals and thieves who thrive on that. What are your objections to them? Concerns. I'm really intereste in your reasons.
hey ricorico... The ID stuff is a complete abolishment of privacy. They plan on using RFID technology, which can basically track you everywhere you go. It's already in many material things that you would find in a store. If they tie it in with the ID card, the government will know everywhere you go and everything you buy. It reminds me of the movie Enemy of the State.

Because it's no one's business where I go, what I do, or who I do it with. How much identity theft really goes on? Educate me. I've never heard of anyone (or the friends of anyone) I know having trouble with it.

What it boils down to is the ID Cards and Chips are a system of control. I'm not a lost pet. I'm a human being. The government needs to stay out of my life. This country was founded on the promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. If the government is exercising that much control over me, I certainly won't have liberty anymore. I sure won't be happy being tagged like an animal either. In the Constitution it talks about "all men having God given rights" well soon it may be that we only have "Government given rights".

The purpose of government is to serve the people. Not for the people to serve the government. We aren't the property of the US government.

You say we'll be more safe or secure. That we'll have less terrorist attacks. Have you ever heard of the saying "innocent until proven guilty" and that it is better to let 1000 criminals go free than to imprison one innocent man?

What I'm saying is that our individual liberty may have a price. Maybe we will have an occasional 911 but is that not better than wrongly taking freedom away from hundreds of millions of people?

And you might say to me "you're a horrible person, what about the thousands of people who died on 911 and the thousands of people who might die in future attacks". And I say to you what about the millions of Americans who died in battle throughout the history of this country to ensure we had a free nation? It's as they say, "Freedom is not Free".

Interesting! I still don't see anything wrong with it. I think it would really effect criminals and illegals. But I can't see how it would effect the average person. It's not as if they will be tracking 300 million people's moves everyday. They could'nt pay for that much manpower. They would probably use it to track people who are Red flags. Yes, we pay a price for freedom, but unfortunately, the more technology we gain, the less freedom we have.

I see the plus as kids and people who are kidnapped can possibly be found much faster. But everyone thinks differently. I preffer to have 1 innocent man convicted than 1000 guilty mengo free. My reasoning is the 1000 guilty ones can potentially take down 100 innocent men, women and children.

How will it track what we buy?

I never read anything that says it will be used as a credit card.

And who decides who is a Red flag? Am I a red flag because I go out buy lesbian porn? Am I a red flag because I sympathize with the Palestinians? Whatever happened to government, of the people for the people, by the people?

And again you mention illegals. Did you not read what I said earlier about the North American Union? The USA as we know it will be gone. The borders between the US/Canada/Mexico will become little more than a speed bump. There will be no more illegals anymore. Everyone will be legal.

Because when we buy something they will swipe it. Like you go to buy alcohol, they don't just card you, they swipe you to see if you have a criminal record.

This is a prelude to a cashless society! And guess who is leaking our information to cause Identity theft? The government and Corporations - look at the notices in the last few years - all ID info is being released by them on purpose to create a Identity theft problem to introduce a cashless system! I personally received notices that millions of social security numbers and personal info were "lost" by my bank and investment handlers, IRS, and for me to take precautions. It is too late - they already released it!!

Yes but what I was referring to is the innocent until proven guilty clause of our court system. Would you have them change that as well?

My English probably sucked due to my frustration of asking the same questions over and over again to die hard conspiracy theory believers who are never willing to give answers when I post these questions.

Gestapo shyt!
That link didn't say anything about GPS. I have yet to see a credible source that says it will come with a GPS.

It's already in some credit cards... Here's a video of a guy slicing it open:

Also, I'm not religious, but this is a guy who is trying to fight for our privacy and spread the word of RFID:

I understand what you're saying. I guess since I had my bank account hacked into last week(thank God it was caught because my bank called about unusual activity)and having to go through the frustration of waiting for a new account number and debit card I am a bit pissed off because this happens more often than anyone thinks. I have my own business and a few different accounts(never keeping more than X amount in each account) because of this very problem. I could have been cleaned out had they not been paying attention and called me with this alert!

How about this? Any elected official gets tagged. That way we can keep track of how much cocaine they're doing, or how many chubby interns are blowing them. And us private citizens remain just that, private.

Well thanks for bringing that to my attention. As you can tell, I had no idea that it was such a problem. But your bank handled it nicely without the government looking over your shoulder.

Scary!

Thats for credit cards. What about national ID cards?

And

Can that be used to track someone down?
Also, your credit card company already knows what your buy and where you are every time you use it.
