In a nutshell this site is a scam.

Signed up for the free account, can only read messages can't send messages with a free account. Smoking hot girl pops up on my search, I hit "wink" just to test out the features and she starts replying to me. Now of course I cant reply, but I really want to. Start Googling, basically everyone says it's a fake site. So I drag the girls profile pic into google image search and she's a porn star lol.

So yeah Zoosk has fake profiles with porn star pictures that will send you messages to try and sucker you into paying.

Either that or I actually met a gorgeous porn star within moments of registering and ruined it to save $30.

At least this was my experience...

was on that site for a little while. Met a few solid girls. It is a site you have to pay for to reply to messages so don't waste your time if you're not paying. Like you said, you can't respond if you don't sign up. It works both ways too because they keep all the profiles up in order to try to get them to re-sign up and to be able to boast about how many members they have. So at least half the profiles you're sending messages to aren't even active profiles and you don't know which ones.
