Can they ever workout?


Whats your experience of cyclic relationships, and what was the outcome? How many break ups, till you completely gave up and walked away forever..
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I think they can work, but only IF the man was the one to break it off.

A guy will break it off for "logical" reasons - i.e. not enough sex, talking too much trash, she was being lazy, etc. Therefore, if he breaks it off and she's able to come back to him and actually show that she's grown and is not doing those things that he dumped her for, it can work out. It goes back to the whole principle of being able to walk away at any moment - some women won't believe you'll do it until they actually SEE you do it and FEEL what it's like when you're not in their life.

As per usual, I'm not an advocate of the whole "back and forth" thing, but the only times I've seen it work out where they did this and it ended up working out was when the GUY did the dumping.
