So this is wacked out, but truth is stranger than fiction, so..
Each of us has a Higher Self. This is a version of you that 'made it' and successfully entered the higher energy levels. It is you at the height of your evolution, in a state of awesomeness that defies the imagination.
How do we have different versions of ourselves?
Let's just say non-physical energies behave radically different from the physical ones we are aware of. It is possible for you to exist on a higher level, and you, in fact, already do. This is true of every single person reading this.
From this higher level, you give yourself help. Extremely subtle hints, clues, intuitions. How is this possible? Lets just say your Higher Self can basically shine a flashlight down into your own mind and throw light on certain thoughts and feelings, as opposed to other ones. You ever have two choices, and something for some reason just made you feel like the other one was right? Maybe it didnt even make sense, from a rational point of view?
The Higher Self knows (in large part) what is going to happen. So it can make you get that perfect job, or just happen to meet that random stranger who gave you a clue to Yourself, or find that rare book in a million that turns your inner keys. It does that sh1t.
It doesn't force you to do anything. You don't have to take its advice. But it will try to guide you, and the more you look for guidance from it, the more it gives. Like any other living being, you develop a relationship with your Higher Self. Some people have a No Contact policy with their HSs. Whatev. Some people have their HS on speed-dial. Do whatever the fvck you want: just know that this is possible.
Your HS chose some lessons for you to learn before you were born. It guides you, and eventually forces you to learn these lessons. It will not stop bringing situations into your life that expose the lessons you need to learn. Each time you refuse to learn a lesson, it gets more painful. Some people try to ignore their lessons altogether, thinking they never need humbled, never need broken open, never need to learn. These people ultimately have to become "Evil", because they need to control reality from all angles to prevent themselves from facing the massive backlog of painful lessons that is stored up for them. At some point, very far down the line, they have to kill/steal/lie/defraud others to keep away from their lessons. Refusing to learn their lessons make them sour and angry as fvck, eventually these dudes are ready to kill for money or status. Downward spiral.
Thats why you either learn your lessons gladly, or learn to wage war on everyone and everything, or sit somewhere confused in the middle of these two. Thats where most people are, stuck in the middle.
